Whether you’re a tourist or looking for a way to see your hometown in a new light, specialty tours seem to be popping up all over. While you can easily find architecture tours, literature tours and even bar crawls to give you a sense of the city, I recently found a tour company that promises to introduce you to the best of the sites while keeping your fitness goals on track: City Running Tours.
They offer runners of all abilities a view of the city and its history, landmarks and lore while you get your miles in. And don’t worry, they have a “no runner left behind” policy: the guides will adapt to the pace of the group with designated stops along the way for water, breaks and interesting information.
City Running Tours offers group and private tours in several cities, including New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Boston, Seattle, Denver and Washington, D.C. (Coincidentally…there are also Room & Board stores in each of these locations, so you can start off your day of furniture shopping with a great run!)
