After three weeks of being closed for remodeling, our SoHo store reopens today. Not only does the store look different—wait until you see the new floors and how we’ve opened up the space—it also feels different than any other Room & Board showroom. Here’s why:
We took a new approach to the displays, focusing on our exclusive, American-made accessories and making it easier than ever to shop them. Instead of grouping things by type (all the vases here, all the lamps here), items are organized by color or theme. There’s no guesswork because we show you what looks great together. It’s like having your own stylist to help you complete your home.
All of our items have a story—about the maker, the quality of the materials or the design details. When you shop the new space, you’ll learn why these products mean something to us and hopefully, why they’ll mean something to you. We also share more about the philosophies that guide us as a company.
You can still see and shop our furniture, there’s just a bit less now that the store is three floors instead of four. And as always, our expert Design Associates are on hand to help you with any Room & Board item.
With our SoHo location open again, there are now two great ways to shop with us in New York City. Visit our Chelsea flagship store (in the former Barney’s New York CO-OP space) to see our complete assortment including kids’ and outdoor furniture, mattresses and sleeper sofas. Planning a visit? Check out our SoHo and Chelsea store pages to learn more about what each location has to offer.
