For us Minnesotans, summer is one of the best times of year. Sure, we swap wind chills for humidity and hail for mosquitos, but it’s worth it. Since the warm weather is fleeting, we like to soak up as much as possible in the few short months. Here are some of our favorite things about Minneapolis.
A breathtaking sunset over Grass Lake
For your kids (or for those who are kids at heart), a visit to Valley Fair is a must. (Funnel cakes, anyone?)
Walk around Minnehaha Falls and eat lunch at Sea Salt Eatery.
Walk, run or scoot around Lake Harriet.
If you prefer to take in the sights from behind glass, take a ride on the Lake Harriet Trolley.
Each summer, the Walker Art Center hosts Rock the Garden, a two-day concert series.
Catch a show at the Guthrie Theater and then stroll around Gold Medal Park.
Cocktails taste better al fresco, especially when they’re distilled locally like those from Tattersall.
