A world traveler with Midwestern roots, David Bowman grew up in Chicago and now has a studio based in Minneapolis. Bowman is a full member of National Geographic Creative and his work has appeared in Vanity Fair, TIME, ELLE Decor, National Geographic and Dwell. His series of long-exposure images of the Minnesota State Fair were taken in 2008 and were featured as a part of National Geographic's 125th anniversary edition in 2013.
