I'm using this in our guest room and it's perfect. I needed something streamline as the room is on the smaller side. It's very sturdy. Nice charcoal color and modern yet not cold in feel.

Nicely built and built to last. Stylish and a good price. I purchased the king size and also bought the split platform board set. I am not sure that I needed it as the slats are very supportive. What else can I say? I am very happy with my purchase.

Customer comments about Webster Queen Bed:

We got the king-size for our master bedroom. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that there are a couple extra inches of space between the headboard and the mattress -- enough for our flat pillows to slip in between. I know the room is there for tucking in bedding, but we tuck only our sheets, so we're left with extra room. It's not a big deal, but footprint size was important to us, so saving those extra couple of inches would have been nice. All that said, this is a great, solid, simple bed. I love that there's no footboard (even a low one), and it's a good height for us. Our 14" mattress looks fine with the height of the headboard, though a 12" mattress would probably be a little better to look proportional and for comfort getting in and out of bed.

            Service and delivery comments:

Everything about Room & Board customer service was outstanding. I had some trouble ordering via the website, so I called, and the phone salesperson was great. Delivery arrangements were easy, and the delivery people were on time and fast but careful and thorough. It is such a pleasure dealing with a business with such good service.

Customer comments about Webster Twin Bed:

I purchased this bed for my 5 year old's room when he outgrew his toddler bed. It's a great, classic style that could be used for kids or adults. Because of the neutral color, it goes with any color wood furniture you have or could want. The metal frame is very nice looking; you can see some subtle variations in the steel. It's mostly a dark grey but some of the welding marks are visible which gives it character.

The other nice feature is the headboard is slightly curved away from the mattress, which gives you a surface to lean on and read.

The delivery service was great too, they were very professional and friendly and even helped me move the existing toddler bed to my younger son's room first.

Overall a great looking bed that I think will last us a long time. The style would go with so many decors, it's super versatile. Over the past 4 years I've ordered the majority of our house furniture from Room and Board and I'm always pleased with their service, quality and price.

We downsized to a townhouse and treated ourselves to a new bed. It gives us the design and support we were looking for - contemporary and chic. Love it, including the sloping headboard. I expect we'll love it for many years.

Customer comments about Webster Queen Bed:

Pros: the curved back is excellent for leaning against if you like reading in bed. Aesthetically pleasing, very solid, and does a great job of holding your mattess off the ground.

Cons: the bars to hold up the mattress seemed too narrow and too widely placed. I put wooden boards on top of them so my mattress wouldn't sag between them. My queen-size bed in this style is just the right size for the mattress, going on small, while my double is 1-2 inches too big for the mattress. In the case of the latter, you can rest your feet on the bed frame, but the angle iron it is made of isn't the most comrofortable. However, all these 'cons' are pretty minor, and more than outweighed by the 'pros.'

Hi...I have a very small bedroom with a low ceiling. How high is the headboard from the base of the bed? Since the headboard is curved away from the frame how far from the wall will the bed sit.

I have an existing mattress and box spring. Can I still use the box spring on this Webster bed? Or will the combined height of the mattress and box spring be too tall for the headboard?

                      A:

Room & Board Bed Frames are designed for use with a mattress only. Adding a box spring would reduce the exposure of the headboard and raise the overall mattress height. For our Webster Bed, there is just 27” between the platform base and the top of the headboard.

The spacing between the steel platform slats on our bed frames is 4¼”, which is appropriate for all Room & Board mattresses. Different manufactures would have different recommendations regarding the recommended spacing.

                    Q:

I believe the metal beds, including the Webster, are very heavy. Once installed, is it easy to move them if I want to change the layout of the furniture in the bedroom. I am considering the twin size.

The approximate weight of the Webster Twin Bed is 129 lbs. It could not be easily moved by one person.

                    Q:

The measurements for the Webster Queen bed say that it is 87 inches deep--is this the measurement for the entire bed, or just the mattress platform (headboard to end of bed)? If it's the total measurement, how long does the mattress platform measure? My mattress is 78" long and I want to make sure I don't have nine extra inches of platform.

Yes, the 87" depth on the Webster bed is from the back of the headboard, which angles back a bit, to the end of the footboard. The space for the mattress is 61"w x 82"l.

                    Q:

My mattress is tall--about 17-18 inches. Are there 10 inches from the bottom of the mattress to the floor? Also, how high is the headboard from the top of a regular mattress to the top of the headboard. Will I have enough room for my mattress?

                    Thanks!

The Webster bed frame can definitely accommodate a taller mattress. The mattresses in the images, however, are 11" thick. From the floor to top of the mattress support system is 14"h. With your thicker mattress you would see about 8" of the headboard above the mattress.

What are the heights of the nightstands pictured with the Webster bed? I believe there are two featured: one with a plant, and one with a lamp. I'm trying to figure out the best height - 23" or 28" for a linear nightstand to accompany the Webster bed. Thank you.

The Sherwood nightstand shown (with plant) is 28"h. The Hull end table (with lamp) is 22"h. Our mattresses are between 11-13"h.

A standard twin mattress is the appropriate size for the Webster twin bed. An XL Twin would not fit inside the frame.
