Customer comments about Webster Queen Bed:

Fantastically sturdy, well constructed, beautifully finished bed. The curved headboard makes it easy and comfortable to sit up and read at night. The low frame at the foot allows a quilt to hang nicely. Besides the great design, the other reviews were what convinced me to go with this frame. Absolutely satisfied and happy. All visitors ask where I purchased it. Simple yet stylish.

Customer comments about Webster Twin Bed:

Purchased two twin beds, in red, for my 3 and 2 year old to share a room. They picked the color and love sharing a room. We went with this bed after reading many reviews on various bunk beds and other twins from room and board. We knew we couldn't go wrong because our oldest already had the bed in a full size. Great quality and perfect for kids!

Customer comments about Webster King Bed:

This is my primary bed. Our previous bed was wooden and over time began to creak and squeak. This bed is SOLID. Sturdy as anyone can ask for. the slats are metal so they will remain intact longer than wood. The color is gorgeous and intense and the powder coating is impeccable. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

        Service and delivery comments:

The delivery was on time and the workers were courteous and pleasant. They assembled the bed for me. When the wrong size slats were delivered, they did everything in their power to make it right, making me a priority the very next day fixing it when they said they would. I would shop here more often just based on all the great customer service.
Another plus: having a live human to speak to. When I called, I was not directed to an automated system or someone with an unintelligible accent. The customer service rep spoke clearly and politely and helped me immediately with everything I needed. A++++++++

We really like this bed. The color selection is great: our older child loves the color, and for our younger child we're going to get it in a different color. It's not too high off the floor and it's very sturdy.

We picked up the bed at RandB and it was easy to assemble, it is very sturdy and hardly moves and my husband is 6'6'' and over 200 lbs. The quality is excellent and we love that it was built in the USA. Would definitely buy from this company again. The only negative is that there is a gap at the bottom (or top) of the bed. Not sure if it is our mattress which is an organic from another company or if it is made that way to fit a variety of mattress sizes. It really is not a big deal.

From start to finish - working with the excellent staff at Room and Board in Chicago, to the delivery which was complicated because we were not here so our neighbor had to let the driver in to put up the bed - to the completed putting together bed in the right spot and taking away all boxes, wrappings, etc. -- this equals perfection! Also love the simple style that would work anywhere but is great in our guest bedroom at the cottage. Thank you

I bought the twin sized Webster in the silver finish for my son who is transitioning from his toddler bed. I wanted to complement his current furniture which has a dark ebony finish, without being too matchy matchy by trying to find something in the exact wood stain (which would be difficult). The silver finish is perfect, and will be able to grow with him without looking too juvenile. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

We finally conceded that our old bed was a wobbly, unsupportive, and warped wreck. We wanted something that was stable, clean and simple, comfortable, and could last forever. We ordered this bed in white and are very pleased. The metal support slats will never bend and shift over time, the simple design will fit with any style bedroom, and the headboard has just the perfect curve for leaning on to read. Considering the quality and durability of this bed I think it is priced reasonably. We love it!

Yes, the Webster bed has an underbed clearance of 10". The Parsons trundle plus mattress is slightly over 9", and there is plenty of room for the width and depth of the piece.

It depends on the manufacturer of your latex mattress. In order to preserve your latex mattress warranty with another company, we suggest using a Platform Board over the slats.

Powder-coating is a non-toxic industrial finish with incomparable durability. Applied as a dry powder and then cured and hardened under heat, a powder-coat finish can be as bright and colorful as paint but is much more durable. Since the process does not use solvents, emission problems are eliminated.

Room & Board Bed Frames are designed for use with a mattress only. Adding a box spring would reduce the exposure of the headboard and raise the overall mattress height.

                        A:

The measurement from the slats that the bottom of the mattress rest to the bottom of the headboard measures 5 inches. With a 7” thick mattress, there won’t be a gap between the top of mattress and bottom of headboard. If you have other questions, please contact our Design Associates at 800.301.9720.

                      Q:

Are the slats of the Webster bed close enough together to use a memory foam mattress on it without a foundation? I believe the slats are supposed to be no more than 2" apart for this.

The description says it comes in silver. Is it a shiny silver or a dull silver? Do the stores have a sample of the color? Thank you

Our silver powder-coated finish is metallic and similar to the color of our outdoor furniture. I would not describe it as “dull”. Our stores do have examples of the finish on the showroom floor.

No, the platform is not required. The Webster bed has a steel slat system that will provide excellent support for your mattress.

                      Q:

How high does the footboard go? From the photo, it looks like there is a footboard with a blanket covering it. Is this a set up where the feet can hang over and it's only a headboard? Or is this set the way it is to add another unit to the footboard such as bookshelf or something?

Great question. The footboard height is 14", The Webster does have a "headboard only" look, with the footboard being the same height as the side rails. We have an image that shows the footboard, click the middle image below the main picture: http://www.roomandboard.com/rnb/product/detail.do?productGroup=7561
