Customer comments about Wyatt Queen High Headboard Storage Bed:

I just bought this bed for my tiny new york apartment, hoping for some extra storage. i love the design and everything but the only problem is the drawer. i was hoping being able to pull the drawer out a little would be enough for me to put stuff in the drawer, but apparently they have to be able to pull the drawer out all the way to assemble it. so if you are think that it is ok to not have the drawer open all the way, its not possible for them to assemble it that way. Of course I might be the only one that wasnt aware of this. besides that the headboard feels a little wobbly but the bed is really sturdy.

very nice upholstery, drawer pulls out nicely, I purchased a queen bed and a king quilt, so the overhang drop of comforter is a little long, but it looks nice if I line it up just so. Very mod and sophisticated looking

Customer comments about Wyatt Full High Headboard Storage Bed:

Wyatt bed with storage is great. The storage compartment is quite large. We store 2 sets of sheets in there, along with guest towels, summer blanket and spare duvet covers. It slides out easily. My only knock on this bed is the headboard. The material they stuffed it with isn't ample enough. We also have the Ella from R&B and the headboard on that bed is much firmer in comparison. Sine this is in our guest bedroom, it won't get much use so I'm not sure how the headboard would hold up under regular use.

                Q:

What is the spacing between the slats on the bed? Also, are there any weight limits for this bed -- we have a very heavy natural latex mattress and I am concerned about proper support?

Many of our fabrics are chosen for their inherent stain resistant properties. We do not treat our fabrics or offer this option. The Sunbrella Canvas fabric in the Wyatt collection would be a really durable, easy to clean fabric choice.

                Q:

This bed will be used with a foam mattress. I note that the base is slats. I have understood that a solid base -- if necessary, a bunkie board -- is suggested for a mattress-only platform when the base is slatted; perhaps more so for a foam mattress, which may conform to the slats over time. In your and the manufacturer's opinion, is a bunky board advisable, and do you sell them?

I have a mattress I love, with a low-profile box spring. Does "no box spring required" mean that this bed cannot be used with a box spring, or that it's optional either way? Thanks!

                1 answer

                  A:

A box spring can be used, but it not necessary and our beds are designed for the height of a mattress only. Even with a low-profile box spring it is likely to sit up above the upholstered frame. The overall height will of course depend on the height of your mattress.
