Meyer

Summary

Description

Part bench and part art, Meyer features a spalted maple seat and a modern natural steel base. Spalting naturally occurs as a tree starts to decline, resulting in thin black lines that weave through the grain pattern of the wood. Highly sought after by woodworkers and guitar makers for its distinctive look, spalted maple captures the beauty of a tree’s life cycle. No two pieces are alike, making the Meyer bench a truly unique addition to any space.

Can a person sit on the Meyer bench? From the photo, it doesn't look like it. If yes, what is the maximum weight? I do want to buy it!

We have not done testing for the exact weight limit of the Meyer bench. However, it’s designed to hold two adults.

  • Meyer 56x16 17h Spalted Maple Bench

    Q:

Is the Meyer Bench really only 17 inches high? That would be about knee height (way too low) and much lower than it looks in your picture of it.

      A:

The Meyer bench is 17” high. To put that into perspective, most dining chair seats are around 18” high, and our cocktail tables range in height from around 14-18”.
