Customer comments about Room & Board Queen Plush Innerspring Mattress with Bio Cotton:

We have not replaced our bed for 10+ years, so was shocked when I saw current mattress prices and the poor rating on all national brands. Needed a firm bed that would last us another 10 years, and very interested in the all natural materials as my husband and I have allergies. After a lot of research, I kept coming back to Room and Board (natural and made in USA were added bonuses!). My cousin uses R&B mattresses in her guest rooms and I remembered it was comfortable. Because of the comments on the body impressions for the encased coil mattress, we decided to go with innerspring. Even though we are not pillowtop or plush people, we went with plush given the reviews. The result? Great. My husband would describe sleeping on this mattress as sleeping on... nothing. I think that's as close to floating as you can get! Thanks R&B

Service and delivery comments:

Delivery -- great service process. We received a call several days before with delivery window. a call the day of. text messages. a call from driver. They were prompt, neat. The only drawback was they did not take or pack up the old mattress. I don't know if that is a byproduct of the delivery service in the local area or state laws. Anyway, it wasn't a big deal for us. The trash truck took the old mattress a few days later.

Customer comments about Room & Board Queen Firm Innerspring Mattress with Bio Cotton:

We got this as our primary bed, based on online recommendations for an organic, affordable mattress. It was a leap of faith to buy a mattress online without testing it out, but we love it!! I've gone the route of trying them out in person at a mattress store, and we hated the one we picked out that way anyway. So I figured how could we do worse? Customer service was excellent, the delivery was on time and professional, and we haven't slept this well in years. The mattress is perfectly firm, and we got the least expensive option, and are still happy with it. I used to wake up my husband any time I got in bed while he was asleep, no matter how hard I tried. Now he doesn't wake up at all. It's so comfortable you don't even think about it anymore. This was my first time buying through Room and Board, and we're so happy with this purchase!! It's wonderful to have a mattress made of organic materials that does not off gas, and I don't think this price can be beat for what you get.

Other reviewers wrote that this mattress is too firm, so we hesitated in buying it. Then we decided we could add a "topper" if there was a problem. In the end, it turned out to be just right. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

            Service and delivery comments:

The only bad thing I have to say about this mattress was the waiting time. It was back ordered so it was expected, though. It was a very quick delivery once the men arrived. Very polite. Shoes off at the door. Arrived in good condition. And customer service gave a heads up to the delivery time well in advance.

Customer comments about Room & Board King Plush Innerspring Mattress with Bio Cotton:

This mattress is the best. I used to own the firmer version of this mattress and it was the best mattress I had ever had. After getting married my husband wanted something slightly softer so we bought this mattress in a king and switched to the plush version. It is still very firm but just has a little bit of extra cushion and makes for the perfect mattress for both myself and my husband.

Customer comments about Room & Board Full Plush Innerspring Mattress with Bio Cotton:

Bought this for the guest bedroom. Love Room & Board and much of our furniture was purchased at R&B, but this mattress is too hard- even though we selected the plush model- and too expensive for what it is. There is no extra padding around the edges of the mattress for structural support- which is something almost every manufacturer puts in to their innerspring mattresses- expensive or not very much so. My advice- save your money and go to a large department store when they're having a good sale, if you have a limited amount of cash to spend. I really regret buying this.

                  Hello,
Our mattresses are not flippable. This means the top is a quilted mattress as you would expect, but the bottom has a supportive, platform board-like surface. This provides support for the entire mattress as well as makes certain it will not slip. You may use it with your existing frame and box spring. It will work beautifully in that setting. Please feel welcome to contact us at shop@roomandboard.com or 800.486.6554 if you have additional questions.

                  Best regards,

                  A:

All mattresses comply to TB-603 and Federal 1633 by utilizing products that are inherently flame
resistant. The flame resistance is built-in and permanent as a result of the chemistry of the fibers, so no
topical treatments are required. All mattresses are free of flame retardant chemicals and are non-toxic.

                  A:

The Firm mattress is extremely firm. The Plush is slightly softer, but not extremely soft. Both will soften with time. You may want to select the firm and use a feather bed as a mattress topper to give you a "plush firm" feel as well as provide an added layer of protection for the mattress.
There will be a tiny bit of extra room on all of our frames to accommodate easily making the bed. Our mattress and frame collections are all standard US dimensions.
