Customer comments about Ventura 48r Extension Dining Table with Two-18w Leaves:

What shocked me was that when the first table arrived, the seam connecting the two halves did not meet properly. The two halves were at different levels! So if I put a vase of flowers in the middle of the table it did not rest evenly on the table because the two sides of the table were not at the same level. I fail to understand how such a table could leave the production facility. So I then had to go through the hassle of ordering a replacement table. This seems like extremely poor quality control by the maker of the table.

The table comes in with a little bit defect:It is not fitting perfectly at the edge with the other half on one side, so not perfect round curve as a whole. but still, its beauty is impressing and I know that this is going to be a life-time piece.

We searched for a kitchen/great room table for 9 months...Finally we found the Ventura! The table is absolutely gorgeous. The craftsmanship is perfection, wood quality is superb. Love the ability to expand, but we can still keep the sleek look when we don't need the expansion.

        Highly recommend.

This table is an excellent addition to our home. We were looking for a USA made solid wood table to add to a set of vintage dinning chairs that we had fixed up. this table looks excellent with the vintage danish chairs. The table gives us an excellent place for the family to enjoy dinner and catch up on each others life and day. We look forward to many special dinners and holidays seated at this table.

Customer comments about Ventura 48r Extension Dining Table with Two-18w Leaves:

The 48" table can fit in a relatively small space, especially when combined with the Jensen chairs. We were debating between this and the Saarinen table, whose design we also love. Since the ability to accommodate 8 is important to us, we chose the Ventura. Note that you need a closet to keep the two extension leaves: they are quite massive.

Customer comments about Ventura 48r Extension Dining Table with Two-18w Leaves:

I love this beautiful walnut table. It is well built and the leaves are easy to get in and out. Also the price is good considering the leaves are included. Sadly I put multiple scratches all over the surface within the first 2 weeks of owning it and I don't know how. Maybe from my IPad? I would have hoped the surface would have been a little more durable. Maybe that is what to expect with walnut?

We love the design of the table first and foremost but the "function part has been a real bonus.
To have TWO leafs is great. Make a small table into a banquet table and it still retains its great design! We are thrilled!

Does the Ventura walnut table use the same material and have the same finish as Bradshaw 45r Dining Table? From the online pictures Bradshaw seems glossy while Ventura walnut table seems matte.

The Ventura table and the Bradshaw table both have the same material and the same lacquer finish. However, they are made by two different companies, so there is a chance that the Bradshaw may appear glossier depending on the buffing, or finishing, step.

                    A:

The table legs are inset on the Ventura table so the space between the legs is 61" and 65" respectively. Each diner needs a minimum of 18" of width but 24" is more comfortable. A narrow chair would be required for using three chairs on each side between the table legs. Our images of the Ventura table show chair styles that work best for seating six.

The Ventura table has a light lacquer finish on it. While it will help repel water at first, any standing water will leave a water mark. We recommend using coasters or place mats. To clean you would just need to wipe with a clean damp cloth and then dry with a towel.

                  Q:

Will either the 48 or 54 Ventura table fit 8 people when fully extended with both leaves? I know the Dimensions list both at 6, but the actual numbers suggest I could fit more. And if both fit 6, Does the larger table just fit 6 more comfortably? Thanks.

                    A:

Seating eight around the extended Ventura dining table would depend on the width of the dining chair used. Eight would be tight, most comfortable would be six.
