Customer comments about Ansel Counter Stool:

I have had these chairs a few years now (about 2), we use them every day. I used a custom fabric. The chairs have not worn well, the fabric stitching has frayed, even busted at the seams (had this fixed once) and the wood has chipped. Overall not happy with the quality. If you need high use chairs, do not get these.

Customer comments about Ansel Counter Stool:

The Ansel stools are amazing! I use them with an elevated table that plays a part as my desk in my living room. The stools really make my living room look much better and "put together." I put big cushions on both the stools. They are also very comfortable. After looking for four years, I took a gamble on these and I have no complaints whatsoever! Get these stools!

Customer comments about Ansel Counter Stool:

I am a very picky person. I sat on a lot of stools before deciding on these. They are the most comfortable, and most attractive I could find! I live in a tiny studio where my kitchen counter bar area serves as dining area AND my "desk". I have no table! So I wanted my stools to be VERY comfortable as I really sit there a lot. I like that they are solid wood and not pressboard. High ratings from a picky consumer on these stools!

This stool is so fantastic, I bought two more a few months later. The fabric goes well with everything and adds a contemporary feel to the stool. A definite must have.

        • Ansel Counter Stool

          Q:

Hi there, I have two questions: (1) Is the frame of this chair kiln-dried? (2) Is it possible to get a wood bar across the bottom of this stool instead of the metal? I would like to order dining chairs and stools (both bar stools and counter stools) from this collection, but I really dislike the look of the metal beam. Also, just wanted to say that I appreciate that your products are American-made! Thank you!

            A:

All of the wood in our collection is kiln-dried to a highly specific moisture content. We are unable to customize the Ansel Stool by removing the metal bar and adding a wood footrest in its place. Thank you for your comments on our American Made collection. It's at the core of who we are as a company!

In what country are the materials made (wood, fabric, leather) and in what country is the stool put together?
          Thanks

            A:

The Ansel collection and large majority of our upholstery is made in the United States. The U.S. still has a strong upholstery manufacturing presence. The materials for the frame and padding are sourced here as are over 85% of our fabrics. The fabrics on the Ansel stool are both U.S. made and the Leisure leather is from South America.
