Still

Summary

Description

Clyfford Still was considered one of the foremost Color Field painters, using jagged flashes of color to give the impression that one layer of color has been torn from the painting. His 1953 piece "Untitled" is reproduced as a serigraph.

Serigraphy is a process in which multiple layers of ink are manually pressed through fine screens which replicates the unique qualities of the original artwork.

Customer comments about Silkscreen, Cliford Still, Untitled, 1953:

Compared to many better known Color Field artists, there are few Clyfford Still prints available. I originally ordered this for our bedroom but found it to fit much better on the stairs. It was easy to hang since it quite light due to the use of acrylic instead of glass, which I had expected.

    Service and delivery comments:

As usual, delivery was very prompt and the picture packed exceptionally well.

Do you think the walnut frame is too dark for this print?

        A:

The walnut frame adds a great contrast to the lightness of the silkscreen. Excellent combination to consider.
