Customer comments about Walker 72x36 Dining Table in Stainless Steel:

This is the first time I have ordered a custom made product from the internet without seeing it first. We specified the stainless steel finish for the table and were both excited and nervous all at once, mostly because a stainless steel finish is not something we've owned before.

The finish appears to be very high quality, and the workmanship overall seems above average. This is our first day with the table so I cannot say how it will hold up over time, but I suspect it will be okay. It will be used daily in the kitchen/dining area of our townhouse.

Our taste is contemporary/modern and this table fits our style perfectly. We're very happy with it.

There is nothing about the product that concerns me.

Service and delivery comments:

The table arrived in good condition, and the delivery team were polite, professional, and careful with the item and with my home. So no complaints about this aspect of delivery.

My only negative comment was the amount of time I had to wait for this table to be delivered...just over 2 months from the initial date of order. This was later than originally promised.

    • Q:

What type of finish is on the stainless steel base? Is the steel shiny (so it looks more like polished chrome) or is it more brushed, as you would see on stainless steel appliances?
Asked on 4/21/2014 by SBK from Montclair, NJ

      1 answer

      • DESIGN ASSOCIATE

        A:

The base of our Walker 72x36 Dining Table is a brushed stainless steel. The same finish as our Portica Collection.

    • Walker 72x30 Dining Table

      Q:

How long are the "feet" of the table? We need a table where the top is 30 inches wide but the feet underneath can be no longer than 22 inches so that the top is 4 inches wider on each side. We need to be able to pull the table approximately 4 inches over a bench.
Asked on 3/24/2014 by R&B fan from Berkeley, CA

      1 answer

      • DESIGN ASSOCIATE

        A:

On the 30d table, the base “feet” span 27” wide. The base for the 36d table spans approximately 32” wide.

    • Walker 60x30 Dining Table

      Q:

Is it possible to get a glass table top for the 60" X 30" table? If not, does the table top detach so that I can add my own? Thank you! Anne
Asked on 2/15/2014 by Fan from San Francisco

      1 answer

      • DESIGN ASSOCIATE

        A:

The table top does detach, and you may order the base alone as well. However, the top material you choose must be able to accept the screws that attach the base to the top. The table base is not designed to be stable enough on its own to support a glass top.

    • Q:

I would like to put two chairs at the ends of the 72 x 36 table. Is there enough overhang to allow for seating at the ends? What is the length from the end of the table top to the vertical leg supports?
Asked on 2/14/2014 by table hunter

      1 answer

      • DESIGN ASSOCIATE

        A:

The overhang on each end is approximately 9.5”.

    • Q:

      I have three questions:
      1. The photo shows the vertical stainless steel supports, is there any additional horizontal support directly under the wood top that is not visible from the photo?

      2. For a walnut top, would it be veneer or solid wood boards glued together. If boards, how wide are they?

      3. How thick are the tops typically?
Asked on 1/12/2014 by Needs strong desk

      1 answer

      • DESIGN ASSOCIATE

        A:

The supports at the top of each stainless steel leg are 24.25” and run along the width of the table. The wood tops are 1.25” thick for a typical desk and are solid wood. The boards are hand-picked and arranged for each top and vary in width from 3” to just over 6”.
