Customer comments about Copenhagen Queen Bed:

My son has slept in this bed for a year and a half. It started to wobble a couple of months after we got it. Recently, the headboard separated completely from the frame. The bed is broken. Not usable. I did not expect this from an R&B product. I am waiting to hear from repair department and hope it will be repaired or replaced very soon so my son can move back into his room.

This a well made and good looking bed frame, and at half the cost of some other well known modern design companies.
I have had no issues with squeaking as others have reported.
One of the great things about this frame is that the mattress sits on top of the frame making it very easy to change fitted sheets.
The delivery folks were great, fast and very friendly.

Customer comments about Copenhagen Queen Bed:

The bed design is perfect and exactly what I was looking for, however the headboard quality is terrible. The veneer headboard started to fall apart after four months, so I contacted RB and they offered to switch out the headboard for a new one. One week later the replacement headboard started to fall apart. RB had great customer service and offered to switch it out once again, but I declined, so they gave me a 100% refund. I was happy.

I am disappointed with this bed. There is no wall to prevent mattress from sliding off. If you have an active child at home, this can be problem.

Most disappointing is the quality of the headrest. Within six months of purchase, vineer is coming off. It seems to have been pasted with poor quality glue. Room & Board charges premium prices, but fails to deliver on quality.

Customer comments about Copenhagen Queen Bed:

We hunted a lot for a plain modern low headboard and were surprised that it was so hard to find. This one, plus the sleek metal legs, is just what we wanted. We were also worried about fitting a queen bed into our smallish bedroom but this bed's frame is so compact that it's not much bigger than our bulky old wood-frame full bed. In fact it's hardly bigger than the mattress alone. And it could be a couple of inches shorter, as it's now that much longer than the mattress (the only flaw we've found so far and hardly worth mentioning).

              Service and delivery comments:

The salesman at the store recommended A Wider Circle, a charity that picked up our old bed to use it to help the homeless, and that worked perfectly. When the new bed arrived, the headboard had edge nicks and a gouged or scratched area, but Room & Board replaced it quickly, no questions asked. Very pleased overall.

Customer comments about Copenhagen Queen Bed:

We bought this bed in walnut, California King size. It looked fantastic but unfortunately squeaked terribly even though we have carpet in our bedroom. We think the design of the side rails is not suitable for a California King size. We had it replaced with another Copenhagen but that one had the same problem. In the end we changed to the Calvin and have had no problems since.

It's great R&B let's you exchange things so easily when you're not happy.

Love this bed and the memory foam mattress we bought with the frame. We are both sleeping so much better than before! One suggestion for purchasers if you have concrete floors. Our bed was squeaking the first few days. If you have the same issue, we replaced the felt pads with rubber pads and have no more squeaks. Probably wouldn't be an issue on carpet. I also must recommend their bedding. Bought a new duvet and quilted blanket and shams. Such good quality at a great price. This is why I continue to buy my furniture from R&B. such great product and beyond amazing customer service. Cannot recommend more!

Customer comments about Copenhagen Queen Bed:

i haven't had a bed frame in maybe 15yrs. prefer low bed so always used a futon on a foam support "mattress". moved into a new place and decided i should change things up. this frame is low and simple enough that i'm not afraid of falling off it and it doesn't try to dominate the room. that said, the walnut headboard is very nice looking.

sleeping on it for the first time tonight and the steel slats mimic the on the floor style i prefer. very happy with this!

can I put a memory foam mattress on top of the bed without anything else and still feel solid and supportive?

                      A:

You can. Although many memory foam mattress companies have strict warranty programs that require the slats be no more than 2" apart. To preserve those warrantees, and to lengthen the life of your mattress as well, we recommend the use of a Platform Board.

                      A:

The natural wood veneers help create a product that is CARB 2 compliant (California Air Resources Board). The white and black veneers are both GREENGUARD Certified. Because there is no joinery on the bed, no glues are used. The lacquers on the natural wood veneers are low-VOC and do not off-gas once curing is complete (approximately 30 days from the date of completion). This time frame most often passes before the piece is delivered to your home.

The dimensions of the Queen Copenhagen bed as listed are 62w 86d and 37h. I assume the 86d includes the measurement from the farthest edge of the headboard. I noticed that your queen mattresses are about 80d. Can you tell me the depth of the flat part of the bed that includes the slats? Trying to figure out if there is a 6 inch gap between the end of the mattress and the end of the bed. Will the mattress shift?

We keep many of our collections available in Maple, but as a special order only, because the demand for this option is low relative to our other wood choices. Design constantly evolves, so Maple may be included in more and more stock pieces as time goes on.

The Copenhagen headboard is attached to the bed frame with steel brackets and is extremely sturdy. You can find an image of the bed without a mattress on the product page. There are small thumbnail photos under the main product photo, and the last one will illustrate the headboard connection beautifully for you.

                    Q:

It looks as though this bed is designed for the mattress to sit probably just an inch or two below the steel frame. I have a narrow (6"-8") mattress. How far from the floor will it sit? It may end up being too low and I may do better with one of your wood framed beds which have several options for height of mattress.

The measurement from the floor to top of slats where the mattress rests for the Copenhagen bed is 10 inches. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact our Design Associates at 800-301-9720.

A 14" mattress would work well with Copenhagen. The mattresses we use in our images are 11-13" tall.

The Copenhagen bed is assembled once it's placed in the room you prefer. The headboard is the largest piece and is the steel base with the headboard attached. It is 37" h, 80"w, and 1.25"d.

                      A:

Room & Board beds are designed for a mattress only, so you'll only see a mattress (no box springs) in our room images. Adding a box spring will change the aesthetics of the bed and make the overall height very tall. Our mattresses are 11-13" high to give you an idea of the height shown in our photos.
