- Fort Twin Bed
Q:I see that the Fort Bunk bed converts into two twins. Is it possible to buy one twin now, and buy another later, when our child is older, for the purpose of building a bunk bed? Or must the entire bunk be bought at one time?Asked on 3/2/2014 by Clare from United States
A:Yes, this is an option for the Fort Twin over Twin bunk only. You can purchase the twin bed now, and then convert it into a bunk at a later date by purchasing an additional twin bed, guard rail set, ladder and connection sleeves. It is more expensive to purchase the pieces separately, but can be a great option if you do not have a need for the entire bunk bed right away.Answered on 3/4/2014 by Design Associate from Room & Board
- Fort Twin Bed
Q:Would it be possible to order the Fort Bed in Full Size instead of Twin? I'd like the original steel (not painted in colors).
Also, will it fit a mattress and boxspring? It's for my son's room and he already had both the mattress and boxspring, which he likes very much.Asked on 2/11/2014 by Rani from United States
A:At this time, the Fort bed is only available in twin size. All of our bed frames are designed to use a mattress only measuring between 11-13 inches thick. If you go outside of these dimensions, the aesthetics will change and much of any headboard would be covered.Answered on 2/12/2014 by Design Associate from Room & Board
