Customer comments about Parsons King Standard Bed:

After searching both online, and many many local furniture stores, I made the decision to order this online without seeing it in person first. I was a little worried that I wouldn't like it in person.. As it turned out, it was MUCH better in person.

I can't say enough good things about this bed. It is extremely well made and incredibly sturdy. Very happy with the purchase.

        Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was great overall. I didn't receive my phone call within 24 hours as the website said, nor did I receive a phone call the day before delivery giving me a timeframe. Once I did get ahold of them, they stuck to the window they gave and set up was a breeze. Still very happy.

Customer comments about Parsons Queen Bed:

I really like this bed. It's super sturdy and feels bomb-proof. Everything slots together easily and there are no bolts to tighten. It's been almost a year and the bed is just as perfect as the day I set it up. We got the tall size for my 11 year old son and all his stuff stores easily under the bed, leaving him with more floor space in his room. There have been no noises or squeaks from the bed because everything fits together so perfectly. Caution though, this bed is heavy! It's tubular (square) steel, so you may want help moving the pieces into the house. Also, it's not black. It is unfinished steel with a beautiful raw patina. However, it looks easy enough to paint into any color you want. My son loves it, and I like the simple modern lines. I recommend this product highly.

Customer comments about Parsons California King Standard Bed:

First off, this bed is STURDY. We have a lot of metal furniture and I have always found the style to be somewhat wobbly. Not this bed. This bed is a rock. Nothing you can do will move it. With that said, it is quite heavy. Additionally, as a side note, due to the design, it can sometimes be difficult to tuck bedding into the frame.

Customer comments about Parsons Queen Bed:

I ordered this as my primary bed after a couple weeks of researching and seeing other beds. I am really happy I went with this. It's a hefty, substantial bed that is unassuming yet very unique in design. Works especially well with the thick mattress that I have. The craftsmanship really shines through and it doesn't squeak or move at all. In fact, the only downsides I can see is that it's so heavy that it would be difficult when you want to move it. Another thing to note is that it's slightly harder to make up this bed since the entire mattress is visible from many angles. It also really hurts if you accidentally bang your shin on a hard corner, which is why I don't think it would be great for a kids room.

If you like the design of this bed - go for it! The quality is definitely there and it looks great slotted into different types of design.

                Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was prompt with good communication, and the delivery staff set up the bed quickly. Very satisfied with the service

We were told that to support our king sized bed properly, the bed we need to get should have a slat oriented lengthwise in addition to those oriented horizontally. Also, the lengthwise slat should have feet that extend to the ground. Does the Parsons bed fit this requirement?

We have heard those comments about beds with wooden slat systems. All of our beds have steel slats that run from side rail to side rail, with mattresses being fully supported. We do not feel that crisscrossing slats and leg supports are necessary for our beds.

                        Hello,
There is a clear coat of lacquer on our natural steel Parsons collection. If the clear lacquer coat is scratched, it can expose the steel underneath which can result in rust. To restore the piece, you may sand off the rust and cover the area with a high heat flat black spray paint. Once this is thoroughly dry, we recommend coating it with a layer of dead flat clear lacquer. If you have additional specific questions, please feel welcome to contact us at 800.486.6554. We would love to help!
                        Best regards,
                        Tippy Maurant

The Parsons Trundle bed needs approximately 10” of clearance with a trundle mattress. The Parsons Standard bed has an under bed clearance of 11.25”. It would be very close once you add bedding, but it is possible.

Yes, the Parsons bed is available to order in two heights. The standard option has an 11” underbed clearance, and the tall option has a 15” underbed clearance. You can view the options on the product page using the dropdown menu under “2 Styles Available”.

re Parsons Queen Bed: It appears it comes in three parts (headboard, foot board and frame - I hope that's correct. The question is this: We have a deep mattress that must sit on a 5-inch (shallow) box spring, which we have. Can this all be used with the Parsons Bed in Queen size?

                      Q:

For a twin size Parsons frame, what is the clearance under the bed between the legs (lengthwise from the headboard to the footboard, rather than height)? I'm trying to determine if I could possibly use the Pogo trundle frame with the Parsons bed or if it would be too tight.

                        A:

The Parsons bed uses 2" steel, so there is 76" between the legs from head to foot on the twin size bed. The Pogo trundle is 74" long and can be used with the Parsons bed.

Hi, we ordered the Parsons bed, which will be delivered next week. We did not order any kind of platform to go under our mattress, however, and were wondering if we needed something to go between the bed and the mattress since there's no box spring. Can the bed fully support the mattress without a platform?

Our slat systems on all of our beds are designed to support a mattress without a box spring. Some mattress manufacturers require a flat support to keep the warranty valid, so you may want to check with the company that made your mattress. A:

We do not have an option to have the Parsons footboard custom-made lower. However with the Parsons Standard bed footboard at 23" high, and the height from the floor to where the mattress begins at 12.5, any mattress that is 12 inches or higher will end up being taller than the footboard.
