From start to finish, my experience with Room and Board was excellent. I ordered fabric samples easily. The customer service person was friendly and very helpful. My bed arrived ahead of schedule. I was impressed with the delivery personnel who were efficient and did a wonderful job putting my bed together. I highly recommend room and board. I was not disappointed.

After trying to also save, save, save on bed frames, I spent a little more this time and it is truly worth it. What is so important is that not only is the frame steel but also the slats that support the mattress. Love the fabric. The delivery truck was on time, set the bed up without a scratch, took away the packaging and I am so pleased.

We actually exchanged the low headboard version for the high headboard, but we love the bed. It is a beautiful style, color, and fabric, and we couldn't be happier with the purchase. The low headboard version was just as beautiful, but we wanted the fabric to rise higher on the wall for sitting up and reading in bed.

We are using two extra long twin mattresses in our Wyatt King-sized bed and they completely fill it, no sign of the slats. We are sleeping better as the twin mattresses do not transfer weight shifts.

Another feature of the Wyatt bed that has been good--the upholstered base. I do not hurt my shins when I walk around it or make the bed.

The headboard is 3.5" in depth, the foot rail is 3" in depth. A standard mattress fits within the area of the platform. You can also order a platform board, listed under our mattress tab, providing additional support and a finish look.

All of our bed frames are designed to use a mattress only measuring between 11-13 inches thick. If you go outside of these dimensions the aesthetics will change and much of any headboard would be covered.

Hi, I have a couple of questions:

                    1) What does the back of the headboard look like? Does it have fabric covering it entirely? The bed is on our loft, and you can see the back of the headboard as you walk up the stairs. If the back is uncompleted, then it won't work for us?

                    2) Many of the comments say that you don't need a box spring. We have a box spring and would like to use it. How would the bed look with a box spring? How high would it be?

                    Thank you!

                      A:

The entire headboard on the Wyatt is upholstered, including the back. The slats are 8.75” off the floor, so add the height of your box spring plus the height of your mattress to determine how high they will be if used with this bed frame. Keep in mind that less of the headboard will be visible.

                    Hello,
I'd like to know the cost of a Wyatt King Low Headboard Bed in a custom fabric: Pattern: Vessel, Color: Cement. Can I get the price for the regular bed as well as the bed with a storage drawer?
                    Thanks,
                    Rod

The Wyatt bed does not require additional support for a latex mattress. Latex mattresses are available from Room and Board and all of our bed frames will support them. If you have additional questions, please contact our Design Associates at 800-301.9720.

I'm also concerned about a queen mattress fitting properly. In the question answered above, the length of the mattress platform appears to be listed correctly (79 1/2), but the width must be off (39 1/2). What is the width of the mattress platform?

                      A:

The Wyatt bed in Queen is designed for a standard queen size mattress, which would measure 60x x 80d. The area in the Queen size bed that the mattress rests on measures 60w x 81d.

The warranty on my Simmons mattress requires no more than 2 inches 5 centimeters between slats on a platform bed. The 4+ inch gap between the slats on this bed seem far too wide apart to satisfy most mattress warranties. Is it possible to have the slats custom built closer together?

We do not offer a wood slat alternative for the Wyatt bed. We recommend using our included steel slat system for supporting your mattress.

Yes, these dimensions match that of a king size mattress. The mattress support system for the Wyatt bed will give you an additional inch in width and a couple in length to accommodate bedding around the mattress. Let us know if you have further questions.
