Customer comments about Pike Chair:

As other reviewers stated there are quality concerns with this chair. I ordered 2 delivered by UPS to compliment my Danko EcoEden dining chairs. Two and a half months later they were delivered, one arriving damaged. Room & Board hand delivered a replacement chair fully assembled/inspected and picked up the damaged one at no additional cost. Beautiful chairs for the price if you have patience.

Customer comments about Pike Chair:

I ordered two chairs for my newly remodeled kitchen. I chose them in the SF showroom and liked them there. When they arrived they were each slightly damaged and it was clear that they weren't a good fit for my room. I received EXCELLENT customer service in returning them. I received prepaid UPS labels, took them to a UPS store, and received a refund less than 2 weeks later. I will definitely buy at room and board again.

Comfortable chairs that lack quality

By SF Resident

Cons

  • Poor quality

Customer comments about Pike Chair:

Chairs are quite comfortable to sit in and they have a sleek look to it but like the above reviewer mentioned, the quality is extremely lacking. Given R&B's otherwise exceptional reputation, the company has some serious quality control issues to sort out. 3/4 chairs had small scratches near the back of the seat and 1 chair was built/assembled such that the seat leaned slightly forward. Hopefully the four new ones that are coming will be in a more acceptable condition. Were it not for R&B's great customer service, I would probably be less inclined to shop at this store again.

I sent 2 out of 6 chairs back because of serious manufacturing flaus. Also, be aware that these are not made in USA.

    Q:

What amount of weight can the wooden Pike Chair support? I see this answer for the chrome leg version, but think it may differ with the wooden style. Thanks.

      A:

The Pike chair with the wood legs will also hold 250lbs of downward weight directly on the seat. This does not account for rocking or leaning which is not recommended.
