Customer comments about Fort Duo Bunk Bed:

Super heavy, built like a tank. Hard to move once assembled. The twin over full option is outstanding for story time. I can fit with my two kids on the lower bunk for bed-time stories, then my son climbs up the ladder to the twin. The style is classy, especially in natural steel. Weld marks and discoloration are evident, but it looks cool and industrial. This bed does not wobble and we haven't noticed any squeaking or racking at all. If you do, it's an easy fix... just place painters tape or little pieces of paper between components to reduce metal on metal contact. Highly recommended bed. Worth the extra cost for a lifetime piece. #sweepstakes

The kids love how this bunk is not too tall. It is easy to get in an out of and make. We have the trundle for under the bed as well and it all is a pretty small footprint to sleep 3/4 kids.

Very Happy With Fort Twin Over Twin Bunk Beds

Customer comments about Fort Twin over Twin Bunk Bed:

I bought the twin-over-twin for grandchildren and guests in a small, second bedroom. (Also have the steel trundle for underneath--I have 3 grandchildren.) I wanted something sturdy, versatile, and American-made, with a classic, timeless style. This fits the bill perfectly for me. I could not be more pleased--the kids love it just for sitting on the bunks and relaxing, coloring, or reading, and I actually had to put a sick child in the bottom bunk almost immediately after receiving delivery. Thanks, Room and Board. I got the R&B mattresses, too, for the bunks and the trundle--all just fine. Of course, the top bunk is more difficult in making the bed--a reality for bunk beds--not fair to say it is a "con."

          Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was prompt--John called me the evening before to give me a window of 7:30 to 11:30 am, and called at around 7:20 the next morning to say they'd be there in a few minutes. So no waiting around all day! John and Van were efficient, courteous, and pleasant. They took about an hour to set up the beds, and even asked for my vacuum to clean up after themselves. They took off their shoes at the door, even though I told them they could leave them on. Minnesota's finest--thanks, John and Van.

Customer comments about Fort Duo Bunk Bed:

I was hesitant to spend the amount of money I did for this, as it's for my child (what child needs this expensive of a piece of furniture?!). However, it met our needs on several levels - quality, provides additional sleeping space for guests when needed, future sleepovers, will last until my 7 year old is in high school and beyond - so we bit the bullet and purchased it. We couldn't be happier with it. Great design, sturdy, solid, heavy, and so much better than all the other bunk beds we considered! We didn't buy our mattresses from R&B, but they're working out great (we did a 7 inch mattress and it's fine for top and bottom). It IS difficult to make the top mattress, but you'll have that with any bunk bed.

          Service and delivery comments:

We were very happy with the delivery service and assembly, even though they ended up making 2 trips to finish our delivery. We have a 1930's house with a narrow, spiral stairway. The heavy, large pieces of the bed frame wouldn't fit up our stairs. The delivery men did their best to get up what could fit, but left the rest of the pieces in our garage (R&B isn't licensed to hoist their furniture). We problem-solved hoisting the pieces over our back balcony, got it in the room. R&B didn't charge to come back and finish the delivery, amazingly enough. The guys assembled it, made sure it was safe and sturdy, and repaired a few nicks/scratches that happened during the assembly. They couldn't have been nicer or more professional!

I have bought several of these beds for friends and clients. I LOVE it! It is well built, and it holds great. The full size bed can accommodate two people and one child (or a third person) above. It is a little hard to make the bed if your space is small, but you learn how to manage it. The mattresses are very comfortable!

We bought this for our daughters' room when we were living in a condo. It has a great look and is very high-quality. We have since moved it into a house and love it.

            Service and delivery comments:

This is the best service I have encountered. The delivery people are courteous, prompt and professional. When they came to deliver a desk and chair, the checked the assembly of the bed (which had been moved by movers). They made adjustments; realized a screw was missing; and sent the screw to me. Wow!

Customer comments about Fort Twin over Twin Bunk Bed:

Have not had any guests sleep in this yet, this bunk bed is being used in a guest bedroom in a second home/rental condo. But it looked good when it was delivered and the beds were comfortable. Great design.

              Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was very difficult to arrange. I spent countless hours on the phone with Room and Board as they will only give you a 14 day delivery window. I could nly be at my rental condo for 9 days, and it was close to impossible to coordinate. I was extremely frustrated and not sure i would order from R & B again due to it. I was promised a credit for all the issues I had to go through, but was never sent anything. Only would recommend for primary house, never a rental.
