Designed by Isamu Noguchi in 1949 and released by Herman Miller® in 2013, the Rudder cocktail table exemplifies Noguchi’s use of organic forms to create functional sculptures. The top appears to float on a leg reminiscent of a ship’s rudder, while two hairpin chrome legs balance the table and provide visual lightness. A medallion on the underside of the top displays an etching of Noguchi’s signature as a mark of authenticity.
