I've had this chair for about two years and the first year it was great, looked beautiful and was very comfortable for how minimal it is. Then the leather started to stretch so the wood rail across the back of the chair is constantly digging into your spine. No one bothers sitting in it anymore as it's so uncomfortable. I wrote to Room & Board support to see if there was a way to tighten the leather or troubleshoot and they told me the leather relaxing was natural and there was nothing they could do. Very expensive chair for 1 years worth of use.

Great chair, bought in walnut and smoke leather. The smoke leather is not as grey and dark as I thought it would be, more of a deeper brown... I thought it was cognac at first. I am told the leather will darken with age... either way I like it. Just know the smoke is not black and/or grey.

Super comfortable! The arm rests are perfect - not too wide to invite people to sit on them but not too thin your elbows fall off when you're resting them there.

We love this chair--super comfortable and adds a nice lighter element to our room compared with another upholstered piece.

Short story: The design changed resulting in an uncomfortable chair. Long story: I purchased one Lars chair many years ago and it is very comfortable, beautiful, and timeless. So I recently purchased two more for a different room. Big mistake. The support bar behind the back is no longer generously arched. It has a mild arch which results in the bar digging into your back. Very uncomfortable. So much so that the leather back now has stretched around it after only one month. So it also looks less elegant on top of having a wood bar across my back. Too expensive for such poor design execution. If you only want to look at the chair, get it…it's gorgeous. If you want to sit in it, be prepared to be uncomfortable. I am a huge R&B fan and purchase from them often which makes this even more disappointing.

These chairs seem to be well made and the walnut and dark brown leather look great together. The chairs have a wide seat and wide arm rests which make them comfortable and easy to get in and out of, even for my elderly father with mobility issues.

The LARS lounge chair is my favorite lounge chair from room and board. It sits low. It's deep and wide for a comfortable sit....great for me who likes to sit criss-cross applesauce. The cherry wood complements our mid-century modern inspired decor which also has walnut pieces nearby. Put a coaster on the wide arm and sip your coffee, conveniently in the morning! I love it! #sweepstakes

Super sturdy deep lounge chair that works for me (5' 7) and well as my husband (6' 3). It's also very sturdy / stable; our toddler climbs and sits on the arms and it has not tipped. One down side is that it doesn't work with accent pillows, they fall between the gap between back / bottom leather pieces.

This is a beautiful chair and I am glad I own it. However, I am 5:6" tall and the seat of this chair is much too deep for me unless I use a decorative pillow behind me when I sit in it. With the pillow, it is a very comfortable chair, but it needs to be a 22" x 22" pillow. Smaller pillows don't work because they fall through the open space between the seat of the chair and the back of the chair.

Very well-made and stylish. Extremely comfortable. Very satisfied.
