comfy, but wrinkly

Customer comments about Chelsea 120" Sofa with Left-Arm Chaise:

I looked for years to find a sofa that had tight back cushions and a crisp look. I selected the Chelsea sofa with chaise since it matched the aesthetic and is comfortable for lounging. Unfortunately, over time, the fabric on the sofa part has loosened substantially causing a wrinkled look. The chaise has remained looking crisp. R&B says nothing can be done.

Customer comments about Chelsea 120" Sofa with Left-Arm Chaise:

Unhappy - We purchased this product with 3 other pieces for our TV room and after only a few weeks, the seat fabric is super wrinkled, not matching the other pieces. This is what is looks like after 3 weeks... How will it look after 1 year? My guess is not good. There is a flaw in the choice of materials for the fabric. It's not quality. The foam on the seats are also not long lasting. I would not recommend this product unless you want to waste time waiting for delivery and also worry about how to get rid of it. Thanks but no thanks.

Customer comments about Chelsea 120" Sofa with Left-Arm Chaise:

I love this sectional--our family is on it daily. It was perfection for the first three years--and then the upholstery started shredding. It has a number of holes in the seating areas, so we are looking to have it reupholstered. After owning it for only four years, this seems like a short life span for such a great piece of furniture. We got the standard upholstery, and now, I wish I had upgraded to something more durable. I've never had a sofa wear through this quickly. So in the end, I have a love/hate relationship with the sofa, and it's a very expensive relationship, to boot. It's a fantastic sofa; be sure to upgrade the upholstery.

    Not Family Friendly

Customer comments about Chelsea 120" Sofa with Right-Arm Chaise:

I purchased this sectional about 5 years ago -- and it is unfortunately headed for the trash. After 5 years, the bench cushions are literally shredding, so that the stuffing is exposed. This occurred on both pieces, the sofa and chaise. I attempted to work with R&B to resolve my complaint, but was basically told too bad. According to R&B, the natural weave fabric I selected (the stocked fabric at that time, by the way) was a bad choice because the fabric is pulled taut around the bench of the sofa and can't withstand heavy use (3 children/no pets). Possibly a microfiber or synthetic fabric would have handled better?? In any event, I was quite disappointed w/ the response from R&B considering I have purchased a great deal of R&B furniture (4 rooms worth!) in the past.... I personally feel that a large sectional like the Chelsea should last more than 5 years despite regular family use. I would have been happy if R&B had thrown me a bone (small discount on a new sectional, for example), instead of blaming me for choosing their stocked fabric. Oh well. Will look elsewhere to replace my shredded sectional.
