Customer comments about Ian 108" Sofa with Right-Arm Chaise:

We love the Ian design, we love the Ian couch portion but have had nothing but issues with sinking into the chaise and having to crawl out of it....... HOWEVER! This company stands by their product and today we are exchanging our couch/chaise for a couch and chair. I would recommend this company and their products to anyone!

Customer comments about Ian 108" Sofa with Left-Arm Chaise:

We have only had our new Ian sofa for about two months, but I have to say we are delighted with it. I was scared by all of the reviews about the cushions not holding shape, but we have not seen any sign of that so far. I can see where the chaise cushion may become indented a bit and wish it had the capability to be flipped, but we shall see. Since the heaviest person in our house weighs 165lbs., I am not expecting major issues and expect to get many many years of use out of this sofa.

The fabric is great (we went with the stocked charcoal) and the arm height and tight back are wonderfully comfortable - even more so once we added some accent pillows. Our family of four can all lounge on this sofa without feeling crowded, which was exactly what we wanted.

Overall, we are very happy with our purchase and are long-time fans of Room & Board.

Customer comments about Ian 108" Sofa with Right-Arm Chaise:

We have had this sofa for just over 9 years now and it has held up remarkably well. Its positives far outweigh and any negatives. In fact, the only criticism I have is similar to another reviewer's comment that the cushion in the chaise has flattened over time. And because of its shape, you cannot flip it/rotate it. All of the other cushions have held up just fine. Buying replacement cushions through R&B was a little pricey in our opinion, so we chose to use another vendor we found online instead.

We have had it professionally cleaned about once per year (from whatever advertised special we could find online), and to this day I can honestly say the fabric still looks new. And we have sustained some pretty serious spills on it just so you know - stuff like spaghetti, red wine, and pizza.

We're now getting ready to buy new furniture, and we've decided to buy another Ian. The only difference this time is that we plan to buy the sectional version instead of the chaise. Our current Ian sofa/chaise still looks so good that we're actually spending the money to ship it to our beach house in Florida and will continue to use it there!

Customer comments about Ian 106x106" Three-Piece Sectional:

We've had the Ian sectional for a month. We really enjoy this couch! It is comfortable for sitting or sleeping. The neutral Dakota fabric allows for fun decorating - I got lots of colorful pillows and some funky cow hide ottomans to make it fun. It is a little deep to sit on, my short mother couldn't quite fit, but if you have longer legs or like to snuggle up - it is perfect.

        Service and delivery comments:

The delivery crew was fantastic. The main delivery guy (can't remember his name) made sure we understood how the sofa fit together so when we need to move it, we could without difficulty.

Customer comments about Ian 108" Sofa with Right-Arm Chaise:

My family loves this comfy, big sofa. But I really regret getting the chaise. Since the chaise cushion only fits one way, you cannot rotate or flip it and it definitely loses shape. No matter how you sit or curl up there, you feel off balance and like you're sinking into the sofa. If you like Ian (and I do), buy a different piece -- avoid the chaise. And plan to regularly flip and rotate the seat cushions.

Customer comments about Ian 108" Sofa with Right-Arm Chaise:

We want to love this couch. It looks great in our space in the Vessel-Cement fabric, but it really isn't very comfortable. The most comfortable part of it is the really nice, air mattress pull-out bed.

We've had the couch for about 18 months. It's never been comfortable to sit on for longer than a few minutes. We can never make it even half way through a movie without our butts and backs hurting. The cushions have not held their shape well at all, especially the chaise cushion.

As a side note, if you have pets who are allowed on the furniture you may want to pick something other than the Vessel fabric. It is like velcro for dog hair! We've had to ban our dog from this sofa.

I have had better luck with other sofas from Room and Board. I would trade this one in if I could.
