Customer comments about Eden 82" Convertible Sleeper Sofa:

I had previously purchased a cheaper futon from somewhere else and it was a disaster. For only a little bit more money, you can get a high quality, gorgeous-looking futon from R&B. It looks like a modern sofa and doesn't scream "futon". It's easy to convert it to a bed, and the versatility in lowering each of the three pieces individually adds some design interest.

Customer comments about Eden 82" Convertible Sleeper Sofa:

This is the perfect piece if you're looking for something with a lot of support and durable fabric. It looks great -- super neat, modern, clean lines. Is a great size without appearing clunky or taking up most of the room. Love it. Was considering a similar (much more expensive piece -- by 5 x's) from Ligne Roset, and am very happy I made this decision.

Cushions are very firm but couch is made extremely well. People who like sleeping on soft mattresses may not like the firmness. However, been holding up great with lots of kids.

Customer comments about Eden 82" Convertible Sleeper Sofa:

We mostly sit here while the baby plays on the floor, or sometimes we watch TV. We haven't used it as a bed yet, but it feels like it might be a better bed than a couch. It's quite stiff, which we like for a bed, but it's hard to relax on in a seated position. The seats are fairly deep, which is ok for my lanky self, but my wife needs a back pillow to sit comfortably. The 3 position (upright, recline, flat) for each of the three sections is handy to personalize your comfort level.

I love this sofa! It is beautiful! I am a fan of the firmness, I can sit on this sofa and play guitar as I do not "sink into" it. Perfect also for watching TV and as an extra guest bed. I like the firmness for sleeping too, but I also have a mattress topper or a quilt I offer to guests. Best purchase I have made in a long time

Customer comments about Eden 82" Convertible Sleeper Sofa:

I couldn't be more thrilled with this sleeper. After doing an exhaustive search for a year and visiting many stores, I took the plunge and purchased the Eden sleeper sofa. I love the sturdy feel, the flexible positioning, and how it looks. Unlike most sleeper sofas, this one doesn't look like an awful compromise of bed and sofa. I also appreciate a firm mattress, so the firm feel of this is great. Also quite thankful that they made a version of this with the tapered wood legs, which go so well with the rest of my very MCM furniture. And at $999, it's pretty much a steal.

Customer comments about Eden 82" Convertible Sleeper Sofa:

I purchased this sofa online (without testing it for comfort) for a studio apartment I'm renting while I work for a year in a new city. As I am living in a studio apartment, this sofa is also my bed. The sofa looks great and the ritual of daily opening and closing are easy for me, however the mattress/cushions are extremely hard. Sleeping comfortably has taken some getting used to and I suspect that some may prefer a mattress topper.

Customer comments about Eden 82" Convertible Sleeper Sofa:

We bought this to serve as a couch and occasional sofa bed in a spare bedroom that serves multiple functions. Our house is small (built 1950) and most furniture items need to serve several functions. This sofa is essentially a high end version of a futon. When it is in sofa mode it looks very mid-century and fits the style of the house.

As reviews here indicated the cushions are very firm. To use it as a bed it was best to put an inflatable air bed on top. It makes an excellent platform for that. The fabric is on the rough side- it is not a soft surface. We had the chance to see the sofa in the flesh at a Room and Board store before ordering so that was not a surprise, but if you are buying this blind think about asking for a sample if that is a concern.

The ability to drop each of the three section independently is a nice touch and gives great flexibility in presentation and use. Just be aware that the frame extends out even with the cushions up which would prevent extra creative placement options.

Rating it 4 instead of 5 stars because ours has developed a bit of a squeak. Probably can fix it with some WD40 but annoying that it happens with a piece of furniture that is only a month old. Other than that very pleased. We looked at many other stores and there is nothing even close on the market. The alternatives are very low end.
