The sofa didn't fit in the room where I intended to put it. I didn't measure correctly. The delivery service was outstanding. They tried everyway they could think of to get that sofa where I wanted it. When it was clear it \wouldn't fit, they were very helpful in placing it where it would fit. It looks better where they suggested that it would have in the room where I originally intended to have it.

Customer comments about Ian 81" Guest Select Queen Sleeper Sofa:

Well to start let's just put it out there that I've never actually bought a new couch. Every couch I've ever had was either a hand-me-down from my family (which means it's a minimum of 20 years old) or its been a communal piece of furniture that a roommate brought/found donated to the greater sitting good of the apartment.

I knew going into my first couch buying experience that I wanted to buy something nice and that would hold up - for a long time. I really like the clean, sleek lines of the Ian couch and the fact that it came in a sleeper was one of the reasons I took a closer look at this couch. Living in a one bedroom apartment - a big selling point to me was getting a nice sleeper so visitors have somewhere comfortable to sleep. Beyond being a sleeper the Ian was a perfect fit for me because it had the contemporary feel I was going for, had a variety of leather options, was a size that was appropriate for my apartment and was priced reasonably.

So far I love the Ian. The cushions are still a little stiff but if you spend an afternoon vegging out they soften up pretty quickly. The leather is easy to clean and doesn't mark easily. Getting the sleeper bed in and out is easy and the inflatable mattress is comfortable. The only downside I can think of is leaning against the arms when watching TV/reading isn't very comfortable. This can easily be fixed by purchasing a few accent pillows.

I don't think I could have picked anything better.

Great as a sofa, great as a sleeper. The leather is high quality, length perfet for napping, cushions nice and firm and overall look is classy. As a sleeper, it's a snap to open, set up and close. We've had several guests stay for multi-day visits with high compliments about the comfort of the air coil. Mid-range price wise, but we're happy with the purchase and plan to use the sofa & bed for many years.

I bought this sofa sight unseen, based only on the online description. It is attractive and looks as I expected. What surprised me was that the "air coil mattress" is actually an inflatable mattress. That was not apparent to me from the description. It's actually easy to inflate/deflate and comfortable to sleep on -- just not what I was expecting. I think the description should explain that. Overall, it's a good-looking sleeper and I am happy with it.

                  Q:

If the inflatable mattress on the Ian springs a leak and no longer remains inflated, is there a way to repair the mattress, or does the whole sofa need to be replaced?

Is there some type of warranty on the mattress?

                  Q:

Hello, It looks like there are two levels to the mattress. Do they both contain air or is the bottom one just the spring mattress? Is it possible to sleep on it without inflating the air mattress at all?
                  Thank you.

                    A:

There are two layers to the Guest Select air coil mattress. The bottom layer contains the mattress coils and the top layer contains the air chamber. Both layers are encased in a quilted mattress cover. Although you technically could sleep on the coil layer without inflating the air chamber, it would not be very comfortable so we would not recommend doing so.

                    A:

The Air Coil mattress pulls out like a traditional sleeper. An inflatable air chamber sits inside a zippered, quilted cover on a foundation of mattress coils. The included electric air pump attaches to a valve at the corner and quickly inflates the chamber.
