  • Cooper 48x15 16h Outdoor Bench

    Q:

Does this bench handle rain well? Is it ok to leave it uncovered during the rainy season. We live in the Bay Area and get good rain (most years).

      A:

Our Cooper Outdoor Bench is intended for outdoor use. While a powder-coat finish adds extra durability, in coastal regions, regular cleaning will extend the life and beauty of powder-coated outdoor products.

  • Cooper 48x15 16h Outdoor Bench

    Q:

If used as a bench for outdoor dining, will exposure to sun make it uncomfortably hot?
Asked on 3/18/2014 by just curious from Napa, California

      A:

The metal bench will heat up in the sun. Darker colors will get hotter than the lighter colors. It may be best to use a seat cushion on the bench if it is going to be used in full sun during the hottest parts of the day.

      A:

Currently, the longest available option for the Cooper Outdoor bench is 60w due to design and material constraints.

  • Cooper 29x15 16h Outdoor Bench

    Q:

How scratch resistant is the surface. I am considering using a few as small cocktail tables and would have plates and glasses on frequently. How durable? Concerned it will scratch and show wear easily.

      A:

The powder-coated finish on the steel bench is very durable, but not impervious to damage. It is similar to the finish on an automobile.

      A:

We do not have a weight capacity for the Cooper bench but can assure you that the bent steel is very strong and the bench will function for seating for a couple of full sized adults.
