Customer comments about Portica 72x36 Outdoor Dining Table:

This table is so beautiful. We have a pool and the color of the frosted glass looks really pretty with the color of the pool water. I have other portico tables and love the simple modern sophistication of the design, but I chose this because I didn't want to have a big obstacle blocking the view and this table is very thin. The chairs stack out of the way. The table came with an imperfection in the glass, but R&B is sending a replacement out on the next truck.
Chris, our delivery man, is outstanding as always. We never worry about him doing damage like other delivery guys. He is the best! Thanks Room and Board.

Customer comments about Portica 72x36 Outdoor Dining Table:

I searched for a solid surface table and was thrilled to find this one. I do love it and would reccomend it, but will point out the two issues I've encountered. It's the stainless frame with the grey glass top. I've had it for about 2 months. It does require a daily and after each meal wipe down w/ windex, as every water drop, food bit and drink ring shows. The other minor issue is that it gets HOT in the sun. It does not reflect the sun into diner's eyes, but the heat it absorbs from the sun is pretty intense. Neither thing are deal breakers, as I do love the table, those are just the two minor issues I've encountered. It's great for kid eating/art projects. No gooves/slats for food etc. to get stuck in. I am using the table w/ two two Aruba chairs as the head chairs and four Rios. Seats six comfortably.

We were looking for a sturdy outdoor table base where we could add our own limestone table top. The Portica base provided the perfect solution. A nice clean modern design that allowed us to easily add the stone table top we had in mind. Thank you!

              Q:

We are considering this table for outdoors but we often have very windy setting-ocean setting. How heavy is the largest table. We are concerned it will be blown over. Also does the table withstand salty air without pitting on the aluminum? Or is it real stainless steel?

              • Employee Review

                A:

The Portica outdoor dining table in 72x36 is approximately 140lbs with a glass top. It is outdoor grade stainless steel. We recommend rinsing the table base about once a week with a hose to wash off any salt from the air. It also helps to apply a thin coat of car wax to the stainless steel to make ongoing maintenance of the piece much easier.
