Customer comments about Jake Chair:

We bought 8 black Jake chairs over 10 years ago and have been very happy with them. They clean easily (grandkids messy fingers) but MOST OF ALL - they are comfortable to sit in for prolonged periods because of the "spring" in the construction. They have a bit of bounce and you can sit in them and have an hour-long dinner, talk for awhile, then still be comfortable an hour later when you're having dessert. We've actually used them for meetings where we've sat in them, uninterrupted, for about 4 hours. Naturally, they're not "soft" nor is it like sitting on a puffy cloud, but value for the price on a non-cushioned chair? Can't be beat.
Our only negative comment? The black finish can nick a bit and show the white underneath. But that is minor for the usage our chairs have gotten, and with black - you simply use a magic marker and cover the scuff. This might be less obvious with other colors where the black/white contrast isn't as obvious. This is by no means a major issue - we have very few scratches, and probably less than with a brown wooden chair.
