Comments: The table looks great. It is very practical with the extension leaf. We purchased it with the ebony lacquer finish. The only downside is that it scratches really easily. I mean, even objects like a book or a plate will scratch it. RB was very accommodating and they offered to exchange it for us for a different finish.

Comments: We have an eat in kitchen and no dining room, so this table serves us daily and expands when we have company. We've had it over a month now and it is beautiful and functional. It easily works for the four of us and expands to seat 8 or maybe 10 people. The legs are located close to the ends, so no wasted seating space. I bought some aluminum chairs to go with it and love the combination.

Comments: Perfect size. Initially we were worried it would be too large for our smallish dining area, but in the end it turned out to fit beautifully. It's so nice to be able to eat every meal at the table and not in front of the television in the living room.

Comments: Spec: Adams 60x36 extension table, paired with Adams custom bench and Doyle wood seat chairs, all in cherry.
Size: For a three-member household, the 60x36 table was quite adequate and we use it for all our dining needs. However, we like having company and the extension was most welcomed. In fact, during the December holiday season of 2010, we often have parties with up to 12 (smallish) people sitting together somewhat comfortably at the extended (2 leaves) table.
Quality and value: The table is one of my favourite pieces that we got from R&B. Although not made of the best cuts of wood (e.g., tabletop not made of quartersawn wood), the table was nevertheless very well made and finished. Nice hardware was also used and there does not seem to be any obvious corners cut. I believe the price is fair, considering its place of manufacture and quality.
Usability: The table is very stable both compacted and fully extended. Truthfully, I was pleasantly surprised at its extended stability because the table looked a bit dainty compared to the Andover. The table requires very little maintenance. A damp cloth (as suggested by the delivery staff) is all that's required to clean it after meals. After a few months' use, there are small dings on the top but that's to be expected. Some would consider these marks character or "beauty through usage", and I don't disagree.

Comments: Love the table. It is a bit more narrow than I might like but still quite comfortable. Also when you cross your legs the table can scratch a bit. Corners a bit sharp so kids should watch out. The Walnut nice and solid. This is the main reason I bought it. Even with some scratches it is not veneeer so it still looks fabulous! We have every meal there as well as the kids doing their artprojects and homework.

Comments: Realistically if rating this table was based on aesthetics alone it would be a 5, but I had to give it a 3 for its care/durability. This was my dream table. I looked at several stores and nothing really compared to the quality and beauty of this table. Once It arrived, it lived up to its beauty but the care is a bit of a nightmare. The finish is such that it scratches extremely easily. Anything that gets put on it seems to do something to the finish even it it isn't a nick, there is still a mark. I am not an OCD type person but this table is turning me into one. Use a pad and table cloth if you want to keep it in good shape.

Material Description: Maple is a durable, timeless hardwood. Even after maple is harvested and made into furniture, it continues to be a living, breathing material that responds to its environment - it expands and contracts with changes in humidity and may change color over time as it's exposed to air, sunlight and wear. Our maple with shell stain features a hand-applied stain that was inspired by a sea shell. The color was designed to easily mix with other woods and materials and to brighten up a space.
