Comments: This is a great table. We like it because it's both functional and aesthetically pleasing. We needed something for our dining room that we could eat on as a family, but also use when we have guests. It's easy to add/remove the leaves to get more space. The only challenge for us is that with kids we get the table pretty dirty and it's not recommended to clean the table with water and soap. Sometimes we have no choice though, but the finish seems to be holding up just fine.

Comments: This table looks great round or as an extended oval - we've had a few dinner parties with it already and it is always easy to add one more person at the last minute. The first time we put the leaves in it was a bit stiff but other than that we are very happy! We especially like the fact that Room and Board products are made in America.

Comments: This table isn't the most striking or unusual piece of furniture. It knows what it is, and is content to sit quietly in the room until someone with an eye notices that, far from being bland, it has an understated elegance that is impressive.

Comments: Ventura extension table looks good, but the squeeks and creeks when a little preassure is applied to it, gets really annoying. Built quality, definitely not matching the price tag of this table. The only major disappointment out of so many things I bought from Room and Board. Room and Board has organized some technician to come and fix this squeeks problem. I will see how well this issue is resolved.

Comments: This is a beautiful table that we purchased in nicely grained walnut. It seems solidly designed, and has an even finish in a low gloss laquer. We received one comment that it looked like a custom-designed table. We have not had it long enough to comment on durability. Our only minor complaint is that there are small gaps where the pieces of the table apron meet between leaves, and between the table and leaves. This only noticeable if one looks under the table, and again, it is minor. Room and Board is one of very few retailers that sells furniture that is made from walnut, not to mention made in the United States.

Comments: The small round size/shape is great for everyday, and it easily expands to host a larger group. The cherry wood is beautiful. I just wish I had more space to store the leaves.

Comments: We use this table in our dining room.
It looks beautiful and is really well made. We typically keep both leaves on but like the flexibility to remove them if we need to.
We used the table during Thanks Giving and had 10 people sitting around it. It worked very well!

Comments: The design is fantastic! Decided to go with an extension table so we could have more flexibility. The only con is that when the extension table has the extra leaves added, there are no latches to keep it together as when it is closed with no leaves added. I wish they would have added the latches to each leaf!
Also, when we looked at the table in the store, the extra leaves came in a bag for storage to prevent scratches, but the bag did not come with our table!

Comments: This is a beautiful, cleanly designed table and I love the simple lines. I've not been able to find any other small 48" round table that extends to seat eight (if using smaller chairs) so I was very happy to find this one. Hopefully, this will be the last table I buy since it shound fit in any space.
My only complaint is the table is not as sturdy as the price point should dictate. It feels a little delicate and there are no hinges when you insert the leaves. A fine choice for an adult household, but I don't think it would hold up to the wear and tear of children.

Comments: This is a very nice table purchased for clients. Seen in the store, it seemed less sturdy. When assembled at the home it appeared more rigid. I think the design could have used better supports at the table legs, especially as the leaves are added.
Walnut is a beautiful finish.
A beautifully shaped top and splayed, tapered legs give Ventura a distinctly mid-century look. Made in West Virginia, the reverse-beveled top edge and unique, tapered legs are indicative of the care and craftsmanship that goes into each table. The design showcases the warm, distinctive look of solid wood.

Material Description: Walnut adds timeless depth and character to your room. Even after walnut is harvested and made into furniture, it continues to be a living, breathing material that responds to its environment - it expands and contracts with changes in humidity and also changes color over time as it's exposed to air, sunlight and wear. New walnut starts as a dark chocolate brown and beautifully ages to lighter brown or honey color over time.
