Comments: Bridging the gap between mid century mod and clean contemporary design, the Ventura dining table is a hit at our modern beach house.

Comments: This is a gorgeous table, our first real grown-up dining table. It was a wedding present actually. We love the shape and it fits really well in the size of our room--a rowhouse--and with our other furniture.
I wish it came as extendable table--then it would be perfect. But this is pretty darn close.
Also, it would be nice if the "Care Instructions" I was referred to were more specific to this actual piece.

Comments: A gorgeous clean design that doesn't leave you cold. Paired the table with Eames chairs, but the design is so versatile, it would go with many different styles. The table generously sized, providing adequate seating for 6 to 8, yet allows for an intimate family table.

Comments: Great table. We love that it was "Made in America"; costs a little more, but worth every extra penny, especially knowing an American was doing the job. Quality of construction and design are impeccable.

Comments: We bought this table to match four original dining chairs from the 1950s, after bringing one chair to the store and seeing how it would look. The table is absolutely perfect! The design is beautiful and goes well with our craftsman-style house and the grain of the wood is beautiful. The table (cherry) has darkened considerably over the last six months and now matches the old chairs perfectly -- just as the sales associate promised! We have turned the piece regularly because one side gets some afternoon sun exposure and oil it every 4-6 months. While it seats six comfortably, my only gripe is that R & B does not offer a model that could accommodate an extra extension leaf to seat eight or ten. The other thing is that the wood is relatively soft, so you want to be careful with banging chairs into it or dragging objects across it -- they will leave a nick or streak, respectively. Overall, a wonderful piece that we enjoy every day and get complimented on often.

Comments: lovely to look at and when seated. I tend to bump my knees on the bracing underneath, and arm chairs do not work with it.

Comments: I got the special order of the Ventura walnut table and it cost a lot but it was so worth it! It makes my dining room area look modern while comfortably accommodates 8 people. I was even able to fit 10 people before for a passover dinner!
It does require some special attention though: since I always have guests, I always remind them that cold/wet/hot stuff is strictly prohibited on top of the table.
My husband and I use it everyday for dinner and never had any problems.
My first table though, had an issue with the finish: a very tiny area started to peal the polish. When I went to the store to check out some other products, I ended up telling the salesperson that sold me the table and he immediately requested a technical support visit and I was amazed about how serious he took the issue. Next thing, they decide to completely exchange the table and did everything very efficiently and fast.
I am very glad with the team at R&B store and the support they give you on any piece you purchase with them.

Comments: We ordered the 72x40 Ventura dining table for our formal (and only) dining area. We live in a 1950's ranch style home and thought the style of this table would match perfectly with the character of our home. We absolutely love the table. It is stunning- the walnut color, the wood grain, the quality and craftsmanship, all of the above. I am still searching for the perfect chair to compliment this beautiful table. The table goes perfectly with our mix of mid-century and modern pieces.

Comments: We looked at this table for over a year and couldn't get it out of our heads. We finally splurged and bought it. The shape is just beautiful. The walnut finish fits perfectly with our black leather dining chairs. We just love it!
A beautifully shaped top and splayed, tapered legs give Ventura a distinctly mid-century look. Made in West Virginia, the reverse-beveled top edge and unique, tapered legs are indicative of the care and craftsmanship that goes into each table. The design showcases the warm, distinctive look of solid wood.
Material Description: Cherry adds timeless warmth and character to your room. Even after cherry is harvested and made into furniture, it continues to be a living, breathing material that responds to its environment - it expands and contracts with changes in humidity and also changes color over time as it's exposed to air, sunlight and wear. New cherry ranges in color from light brown with pink undertones to reddish brown and will beautifully darken to a deep, reddish brown over time.
