Comments: My family and I just bought a new house and with it we decided to buy a new bed. This bed has become the center piece of our new master bedroom and it really adds a unique style to the room. It is easy to match with other furniture and it goes really well with our dark wood floors. We have been getting compliments from all of our visitors. The quality is fabulous and it is very well built.

Comments: I bought this bed because of a recommendation from my mother - she bought this in a full size for her guest room. She called me as soon as it was delivered just raving about it! I ordered mine immediately and she was right! This bed is indestructable and beautiful. It looks great at every angle. I find myself staring at it all the time. I'm totally thrilled.

Comments: This bed is exactly what we were looking for, classic, timeless design, high quality construction, and an affordable price. It is incredibly solid, not like other metal beds that sway and creak. No movement from this bed -- even the mattress slats are steel! The elevated mattress platform, with no box spring, gives it a simple, austere beauty (or provides the perfect place for extra storage. The cat thinks of it as her own steel superstructure when she runs around underneath it.

Comments: Bedframe is attractive, sturdy and although it is more modern looking, I would consider it a "timeless" piece and believe we will have it for many, many years.
Two downfalls I have noticed are 1. the bedframe is incredibly heavy. At the moment it's on carpet and moving it even slightly to make the bed is difficult. 2. We wanted to have a bedskirt with my daughters bedding and had to use a boxspring for the bedskirt to lay (or fit) correctly. Now my 3 year olds bed is higher than I would've prefered, but at least we were able to use the bedskirt to make the whole look more of what we wanted.

Comments: Not only is this a beautiful modern take on a classic style, it is comfortable and very solid. No squeaks even when our daughter uses it as a trampoline.

Comments: The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is the price. It is a bit pricey for metal. However, with Room and Board, this goes with the territory. Also, it is one of the least expensive beds Room and board sells.

Comments: This is a terrific bed. Simple - clean design, strong construction, easy to make. I had been shopping for a new bed for 6 months...just didn't want a big wood bed. The open design looks good in my relatively small room, but it is substantial and has great lines. I couldn't use my old mattress with it, it was too long, so I had to buy a new one...which fit perfectly. I love it. Goes well with my western - eclectic decorating scheme. [...]

Comments: I bought a pair of these beds in a twin size for my son's room about 8 years ago. I substituted queen sized rails for the twin ones to make the beds a XL-twin size (the XL-twin mattress fits perfectly). After 8 years, the beds still look new and I am happy I have the extra length as my son gets taller.
The natural steel construction of our Mackintosh kids' bed provides a modern interpretation to a classic Arts and Crafts design. Each bed is crafted by hand, from the individually welded spindles to the lacquer finish. Choose the Tall profile for greater clearance between the side rails and the floor. Twin sizes available in standard profile only.
