Comments: The in-store model of this bunk bed did *not* have the "WARNING: NO KIDS UNDER 6 ON TOP BUNK" stickers that we only noticed once the bunk bed was assembled in our 7th floor urban loft and the assembly team had left. This was too bad because our kids are both under six, and we were in the kids department of the store, and we asked if it was safe and were told "yes." We had to wait two days for the guys to come back and re-cofigure the beds into two twin beds because the thing is so heavy you really only want professionals taking it apart, and those guys had to REALLY wrestle that thing together and apart (which actually speaks to how sturdy it is.) So it's an awesome bunk bed and an awesome set of twin beds but it has stickers on it that say "NO KIDS UNDER 6" which are not on the display models for some reason.

Comments: Searched around quite a bit and loved the simplicity, color, style and durability of these bunk beds. Our 5 and 2.5 year olds love them and climb all over them. Glad we bought the full size on bottom so that we can all read together before bed.

Comments: We set up a single twin for the toddler, stored the other frame and ladder, and intend to turn them into a bunk when the baby is older. Love the flexibility of the design! The bed is sturdy and simple - perfect for our smaller condo.

Comments: Great style doesn't take up a lot of space.

Comments: We absolutely love our Fort Bunk! We currently use it in our 7 year old's room which allows his 3 year old brother to fall asleep with him in the full bed on the bottom. The ladder is really easy to climb and we use duvets only, which makes it really easy to make the beds. We were so impressed with our current bunk, that's we're buying another (twin over twin) for a bunk room at our beach house. They are really the only bunks I would consider as they are so sturdy and the bonus of being able to convert the twin over twin to 2 singles, is a huge plus for the future!

Comments: We purchased this bed for my 3.5 yr old daughter, who loved to color. We loved that it was about the least toxic bed frame we could find.
The bed is super sturdy but HEAVY. It easily weight 500lbs. You really cannot move it on your own, even disassembled. This bed will last a lifetime.
So, only three stars because the bed is super "hard". It is cold to the touch and has given our kids bruises whenever they have bumped into them (walking by, wrestling, or just putting their head down too fast without a big pillow on the head board). For this reason, I would not recommend this bed for kids under 10.

Comments: My 4 year and and my 2 year old love these bunks. The 4 year old usually sleeps in the "nest" (top bunk) and the 2 year old usually in the "cave" (bottom bunk), but sometimes they switch things up. We also got the trundle ("island"), and they love to sleep there too. The ladder is easy to navigate... love the fact that the ladder doesn't go all the way to the floor so that it works well with a trundle. The height of the beds is perfect for our 8-foot ceilings. Space between top and bottom bunks is great. Boys do hit their noggins, but they have to stand up on the bed to do so (which they shouldn't be doing.) We got the Room and Board mattresses to go with them and have been pleased with those - very comfortable.

Comments: I was looking for a clean, modern bunk for my kids room and I couldn't be happier. Sleek and versatile, this bunk bed stands up to my three kids valiantly (I also got the trundle)!

Comments: Lovely delivery staff, who could not assemble the bed due to construction issues (we were waiting for flooring to be installed) in our house. A bit of foreshadowing: They told me I would need a rubber mallet, a screwdriver (for adjusting the metal fins that lock the bed together), and a paint marker for touching up the damage that would likely occur during installation. So you know they know there are issues with assembling this piece.
This bed is incredibly heavy. Not moderately heavy, but incredibly heavy. I'm 6'3", 200lbs and strong, and I could not move the lower portion of the bed without help. It took 3 adults to raise the smaller upper portion into position, where we discovered that the flanges for locking the parts together were not aligned closely enough to connect. We tried moving the thinner flanges with a screwdriver as recommended, but if I'd had a crowbar it wouldn't have helped. Meanwhile the finish is chipping, bending and scratching (hence the paint marker recommendation) at these points. We finally had to give up, drenched with sweat from exertion and feeling not very happy about R&B.
Perhaps we simply got a bad apple, but I would suggest you seriously consider the ramifications of purchasing this bed if there's any chance you will either a) have to assemble it yourself, or b) ever need to take it apart again for a move. I love R&B's level of service (they came a week or so later and picked up the bed, refunding our delivery fees), but this piece is ill-designed for the real world.
