Comments: I really love the look of this piece which I bought for the top of our moda dresser, but it doesn't stand up to an active baby. Our son is five months old and the wood has already cracked where the piece secures onto the top of the dresser. I expected to get a longer life for the price.

Comments: This is a well designed, reasonably priced changing tray, and a great alternative to buying a changing table. I installed it on top of an existing Room & Board dresser that I already owned--from a different collection, and it still looks great. I use it as a dresser/changing table in my baby's room. Once I no longer need to use it as a changing table the tray will come off and the dresser remain. I looked into a lot of modern changing tables, and found a lot of over priced and/or poorly made stuff. This was a great solution for us. Note that the price includes a changing pad, cover and straps, which other brands charge separately.

Comments: Great look and design. it fit perfectly where needed.
However, when attaching it to the station, the wood splintered with the hardware.
The piece of wood where screw is inserted was (or is) too thin to withhold the pressure from screw.
Besides, if someone pushes the tray back with their body weight (perhaps when picking up the baby) it might brake the wood where pieces are attached to each other.

Comments: This changing table is wonderful. We have used it for over 19 months and only just recently had to reattach the tray to the dresser using large screws, which was very easy. My son is a fairly large 19 month old and he fits on the tray (we do have a contoured changing mat fitted inside the tray). I would ignore the reviews about "what could" happen because those people are simply guessing. I would also like to say that if you treat the furniture with a modest amount of respect it will last long past the price tag suggests.

Comments: Who thought a changing table could be so classy and awesome? This piece looks great. I use this in my son's nursery, with the rest of the Moda set, and I could not be happier with the look. The material, thus far, has been very durable, and very easy to clean.

Comments: Great looking changing tray. Easy to install. Our baby is still on the way, so we haven't used it yet, so can't comment on functionality.

Comments: This is obviously one of the more expensive changing trays you can buy, but it looks fantastic (especially when sitting atop the matching dresser) and, like everything else that I have ever purchased from Room & Board, is impeccably constructed.
A few things that may not be entirely clear from the online description: this changing table comes with its own pad plus a white cotton/polyester pad cover from the Utah-based company Rumble Tub (you can buy additional covers through their website). I'm not sure whether a white changing pad cover is such a smart idea, but it sure is stylish. If Don Draper changed diapers, this is what he would do it on.
I don't know what the complaints about the construction/security are all about. My guess is the people who saw the back of their dresser split neglected to drill pilot holes. If you install it properly, it seems absolutely secure and safe against every damage that an infant/small child could inflict to it. Our little one squirms around a lot when we change her and I've never felt that there was the least bit of danger. There's also a strap to tie her in place if you need to get new supplies from the closet or a similar issue arises.
Material Description: Medium density fiberboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made from wood fibers adhered using heat and pressure. The result is a stable panel that does not expand and contract with humidity like solid wood, making MDF an excellent core under veneers, or on their own once painted or powder-coated. Our MDF is California Air and Resources Board Phase II (CARB-2) compliant, which sets the lowest threshold in the world for formaldehyde emissions in engineered wood products.
