Comments: Love the Parson Desk series from R&B. We have a very large, open living room that we needed to corner off a section of for home office. We also needed a corner desk that could fit 2 work stations. Most of the corner desks on the market are either big traditional cheesy looking things, or uber modern with glass and aluminum. Not to mention, they are designed for one person to sit in the corner, not on the returns. We needed an L-shaped configuration so having the flexibility with the table sizes and return sizes, we were able to get exactly what we needed to fit our space. We chose the Walnut with Natural steel (also matches our Elton bookcase) and it looks gorgeous in our office/ living area. The only drawback has been it comes with zero storage. We would love to have an accent storage piece, but R&B's pieces are too matchy-matchy, and a little pricey. Would love if they came out with some improved storage options. Also the gap in the seams where the pieces join is ever-so-slightly enlarged. I understand it's the nature of the beast, but would love if they could find a way to tighten it up a bit.

Comments: I was attracted to this table for its clean lines. I thought it would make a good desk for my home office. But I must say that I've been extremely disappointed by the quality of this table and I regret buying it. My thinking was that the walnut would prove to be a solid and durable surface. However, the choice of finish has proven to be too fragile even for the light use this desk as seen.
R&B had to come and replace the desktop once, apparently due to a manufacturing flaw with the finish. And unfortunately the replacement top hasn't been much more durable. I'm not sure why the manufacturer went with a natural lacquer finish when a stronger polyurethane (even something water based and environmentally friendly) would have been a smarter choice.
The surface of this desk hasn't seen very heavy use (an iMac, papers, pencils and an occasional glass of water) but it is already requiring a refinish after only 6 months of use. In addition, the finish is also wearing off the metal base.
I purchased a solid walnut dresser from R&B (made by a different manufacturer and with a different finish) at the same time I bought this desk and it still oops as beautiful as the day I brought it home. Conversely, the surface of this desk looks terrible. I'd consider a few nicks and scuffs over time to be part of the patina a beloved piece of furniture takes on. But that the finish on this desk/table looks so beaten after such little use over a short time suggests that someone has not taken the care to build it to last.

Comments: I've been using the parson's desk in my home office for about a year now. I love it. The design's sleek and modern, it's virtually indestructable, and the size fits perfectly in my office. I love the option to really customize these desks and make them your own. I have glass tops, so I can't speak to the durability of the wood tops. But I figure I can always replace the top with one of my own making/design when the time comes... After all, the base will never break down! The only con I'll say about the glass top desks is they tend to get cold, which stinks in my already-cold basement home office. Otherwise, I'm 100% satisfied!

Comments: This is my primary home office desk and work space. It has beautiful, clean lines and an expansive desk top for spreading out work. It is wonderfully crafted and the wood is beautiful. I am thrilled with it and would heartily recommend this desk.

Comments: We use the 60" x 24" table as a desk in our guest room / home office. We have the solid cherry wood top.
My complaint is with the finish - we have had this desk less than a month, and it held up well for my office usage (laptop, desk lamp). My in-laws visited over the holidays and stayed in the room for three nights, using the desk as a side table for presents, books, etc.
After they left, we were disappointed to see several scratches in the lacquer finish. My in-laws are very careful people, and we are dismayed with the fragility of the finish. The wood is unscratched, but the finish looks horrible.
I contacted R&B about repair/replacement options five days ago, and the issue is still open.

Comments: I live in an apt, and wanted a relatively narrow desk that would accommodate my computer and printer, and offer some workspace. But, I didn't want it to feel big or imposing. This is the perfect size, and I really like the metal frame and slate grey stone top. After my husband saw how nice this was, he purchased a similar table to serve as his home office desk.

Comments: We use this in a family room for laptops and board games. With the granite top this table can be passed down through the family.
