Comments: This is a great piece for a room that needs an anchor. It is low profile, but has a substantial presence in a room. I have it in Walnut and couldn't be happier.

Comments: The size and finish of this table were perfect for the proportions and colors in our living room. We were looking for a contemporary/modern design that included a lower shelf for book and magazine storage, but since we couldn't find anything that worked, we settled for this one. Our one concern when it arrived was that it looked so pristine that it almost looked veneered, like it might have come from [...] or something. But our dog soon solved the problem by knocking a heavy piece of furniture onto the surface. A couple of little scratches actually improved the look of the table, because they make it obvious that it is solid wood.

Comments: It is an elegant centerpiece for my living room. I love the oversized surface, which shows off the beautiful grain in the wood and makes it functional as well. It's absolutely perfect, I wouldn't change anything about it. Every time I look at my Corbett table and think about it being made in Vermont from solid walnut, instead of being made from particle board and plastic and shipped from over seas, it makes me happy.

Comments: I LOVE the style of this table and when I bought it I thought this would be a piece that could last forever. Not so. Even though it is solid walnut (at a cost of $100 extra), the surface scratches and chips very easily. I do have kids, but I was shocked at how easily they were able to do damage. Since I have a lot of other wood surfaces, I didn't expect this. I would not purchase a table from Room and Board again as much as I love their furniture. We had a different table with a solid maple top that was destroyed within a year. My dining table (Crate and Barrel), end tables (Ethan Allen) and current kitchen table(a total cheapie found online) have all held up for years with these two kids of mine and are still in great shape with normal wear and tear.

Comments: We searched for many months for a coffee table that would meet our needs: not to wide, not too tall, the right hue, solid wood construction, fine finish. This table fits all of those requirements.

Comments: expect perfection from room & board ... because thats all they offer ... the best of the best ... that's who they are.

Comments: We love the table, but the finish scratches really easily.

Comments: This is a very nice cocktail table; the stain is as I expected, and the wood very nice. It unfortunately did get a scratch almost immediately after we got it, but that was probably due to the vigor of our kids rather than the quality of the product.

Comments: Didn't like this product at all. The finish is not durable. The wood was pale. Not recommended at all. I will not buy from them again.

Comments: A beautiful expanse of gorgeous walnut. If you have the room for a large "coffee" table, go for it.

Even after maple is harvested and made into furniture, it continues to be a living, breathing material that responds to its environment - it expands and contracts with changes in humidity and may change color over time as it's exposed to air, sunlight and wear. Our maple with shell stain features a hand-applied stain that was inspired by a sea shell. The color was designed to easily mix with other woods and materials and to brighten up a space.
