Comments: We needed a small table next to the Sofa. It is unassuming and practical. We chose the Walnut and it is stunning in looks and quality.

Comments: This table is gorgeous. We use it as a bedside table, and it is the perfect size for a clock, a small lamp, and a book. The look of it is just great, my wife and I are very very pleased.

Comments: I loved the images of this table online, ordered it in walnut, and it was just delivered today. I am so disappointed to find that there is a wide wooden block on the underside of the table top that is obviously there to support the
top on the narrow table base. Unfortunately, it is visible from almost any angle in the room unless you are standing right over the table. It must be photoshopped out of the online images, because no matter how I turn the table it is visible and ruins the original clean lines of the design. Bummer!
Not sure if I will try to live with it or will return it. The jury is still out.

Comments: We originally ordered this in Cherry finish, but when it arrived, we did not like it with the other furnishings and it had some funky knot holes in the seams of the base (not an attractive "natural" look, more of a blemished look). We decided to try the Walnut finish, which looks great. The wood quality is much higher, and worth the extra $50. We love this little table, but think that the QC process should be a bit more ridged.

Comments: It has a beautiful feel and is light which makes it easy to move around...now if I could only train my dog not to try and walk underneath it!

Comments: The color and design are amazing. It is rather lightweight so I wouldn't put it in a heavy traffic area as I've already knocked it over twice. I also scratched it putting a flower arrangement. Bottom line is that you cannot find a table that looks this good anywhere else. It's simple and goes with our transitional living room perfectly.

Comments: I was tired of years of clutter collecting around my nightstand, which most recently had been a bookcase. I decided that the only way to solve the clutter was to make it impossible to occur. So I got rid of the bookshelf and replaced it with this accent table (which is the perfect height) and the Tenda Pharmacy Floor Lamp. Now I have just enough room for two books and a cellphone by my bed, which frankly is all one really needs.

Comments: This beautifully designed item deserves better wood/grain selection, at least for the maple wood version.
I requested a replacement for one that had unacceptable dark irregularities in the top surface. As I feared, the replacement was even worse. It had similar dark marks on the top plus the stem was of darker maple wood (or a darker stain) than the top and legs/feet, and there were two large dark marks, one about 1-1/2 inches by 3" and another about 1" x1" on the top that looked like smudges going across the grain.
This kind of grain selection and quality control on the Adams accent table would never have been found in actual American-made furniture in the mid-century, this kind of "natural" was not considered good craftsmanship. In the 50's and 60's, even mass produced furniture, was made of wood sections that were carefully matched as to grain and selected for "cleanness."
Customer service was accommodating when I requested a replacement for the original table but the replacement arrived I had no choice but to send it back, and they do not offer the option of yet another replacement. Only because it's unlikely I'll find another table elsewhere made of maple that will coordinate with the other furniture in my office I am stuck with the original piece and my disappointment.
To sum up, I don't feel you will necessarily receive a better product should you request a replacement for one with wood grain characteristics you can't live with.
To be fair, I would like to add that although this table's design is slim and elegant, it is not particularly lightweight is and perfectly stable, and the crossbar is definitely not visible from any normal viewing angle in a fairly large room. Plus the design is a winner, hence the 2 stars. With respect to the maple wood, I have other pieces of maple furniture (tables and bookcases) from Room and Board that are lovely with no visible grain defects whatsoever.
Material Description: Cherry adds timeless warmth and character to your room. Even after cherry is harvested and made into furniture, it continues to be a living, breathing material that responds to its environment - it expands and contracts with changes in humidity and also changes color over time as it's exposed to air, sunlight and wear. New cherry ranges in color from light brown with pink undertones to reddish brown and will beautifully darken to a deep, reddish brown over time.
