Comments: The couch is a perfect size for an open space that is both dining room and living room. It's long enough to stretch out on, but not overbearing for the space. It's an attractive centerpiece, but, again, not overwhelming.

Comments: I am so pleased with this couch and also with the way it was delivered. It was delivered on time by nice people (who took their shoes off). The couch itself is even prettier than it is in the photos. The material feels wonderful and high quality. The design is perfetion and could not fit my style any better.

Comments: This sofa is pretty stiff and admittedly not the most comfortable thing to sit on. However it is SUPER CUTE and looks great as an accent piece in your home or (as we did) used in an office setting.

Comments: We recently bought two couches from Room & Board, and the Murphy in teal veleveteen was our first choice. It is kind of a chair-like couch as it is easy to sit upright in it. I like to sit and knit. Our other couch is more cushy-comfy, which my husband prefers. The fabric is beautiful and has no bad chemical smell like some new furniture does. Our house was built in the late 1930's, with smallish rooms, and this couch fits right in with the style and space.

Comments: The Murphy sofa added the perfect modern gracefulness in the living room I designed for a model residence in Brooklyn, NY. Against a backdrop of black and white, this emerald green velvet sofa took center stage. I added accents in emerald green as well as decorative pillows in black, white and sunshine yellow. The result: a stylishly modern contemporary room with a gentle touch of glamorous sophistication.

Comments: I love this little sofa, it is such a pretty indigo that looks amazing with bright pillows. I have it in a window protrusion in my dressing room and it is just perfect. It's very petite so it won't mix well with all scales of furniture, so it's not particularly versatile piece, but is just what it should be.

Comments: The couch looks beautiful! Fabric is soft and color is great & vibrant. It's a little stiff-not really a cozy sofa, mostly in the room style and extra seating when company comes. It's great as an accent in a room to your main larger sofa. The color makes a statement.

Comments: I have the 59" Murphy in the Total Ink fabric (kids). It's in a very small NYC apartment LR. It's lines are so pleasing, and its high legs are so welcomed in my small space - giving the impression of airiness.
I am quite short (5'1") and I find the sofa far more comfortable than deeper, plushier ones. It is my go-to seat in the room.
The back is low, though, compared to most sofas. I am fine with it, as is the Husband, but my teenaged son is not.
The Total Ink fabric is beautiful, a pleasure to touch, and so practical.

Comments: I live in a small 1920's bungalow, and the Murphy is perfectly scaled to my space. I loved the Vance teal fabric, and Murphy's unique shape. The cushions arrive VERY firm, but soften over the first couple of weeks. This is a firmer sofa, so more of a formal sit, but exactly what I wanted. I have already had a couple spills on the fabric, and they cleaned up easily when gently wiped up right away.
An eye-catching design that will become the centerpiece of your room, the Murphy sofa doesn't skimp on style or comfort. The delicate, sculpted frame, flared arms and low profile seat cushions create a striking silhouette, while the small scale fits in almost any space.
Fabric Description: With its soft feel, excellent durability and appealing texture, Tatum is one of our most popular fabrics. Two contrasting colors of micro-boucle yarns highlight Tatum's pronounced texture, and also help disguise stains and wear. Tatum is a great choice for both small and large upholstery frames.

Eco-friendly, high-resiliency foam core wrapped in fiber padding, encased in ticking
Offers a structured, supportive sit
Creates a neat, tailored appearance
Will soften with use, but designed to retain its shape
Made to the same high standards as all of our furniture, each one of our upholstery frames is built to last.
Kiln-dried, engineered hardwood
We use kiln-dried, engineered hardwood in all of our upholstery frames. Often used for structural beams, engineered
hardwood is made by pressing thin layers of solid wood together. Kiln-drying removes moisture, minimizing seasonal
expansion and contraction. This stable hardwood material resists warping and cracking for lasting durability.
We reinforce every joint in our frames for added stability. Precision-cut parts interlock like puzzle pieces and are
reinforced with eco-friendly glues, screws or staples and corner blocks. Reinforced joinery ensures your seating holds together,
even with years of frequent use.
A webbing suspension is made by interweaving strips of nylon material to create a resilient platform. The
elasticized webbing is securely attached to the wood frame with staples. Webbing suspensions are ideal for
thin-profile styles that require maximum support in minimal space.
