Comments: Like the monitor riser, but the big flaw is that the clearance should be greater and it should maybe be a bit wider.
When I purchased it I envisioned storing my keyborad and maybe stapler and hole puncher underneath it as well, but alas only my keyboard fits.

Comments: I love this product. I had purchased the stainless
one for myself but ended up giving it to my teen to put his Japanese PS2 under his TV/monitor, so I need to buy another for my MAC. I have built
a stand in the past so I appreciate that this simple design is done for me. I am tempted to buy the walnut one to put on one of our R&B tables as a phone stand. It is what it is so I don't understand the other customer low ratings?

Comments: Just as described. I am using this monitor riser as a desktop computer riser to get my computer a few inches off the floor to protect it from roaming dust and random kicks and bumps. Works perfectly for this purpose, it does seem a bit pricey though given how simple it is and how little wood is involved. But it matches my other Room & Board furniture, so overall it was a good purchase.

Comments: We use it for our Mac computers, holds up to their weight very well. Well constructed, sturdy. When I mentioned the cost some co-workers were a little surprised.

Comments: I bought this to elevate my flat screen TV on a quirky bookcase. I was hoping to put my cable box and/or dvd player under it to make better use of the space. While either would fit, the space is too confining per the dvd player instructions. The riser did lift the TV up high enough that the boxes fit under the TV on either side of the riser so I'm happy with that. I may use the space underneath to store my remotes when not in use. I'm happy with the purchase anyway.

Comments: Room and Board sells superior products, it's as simple as that. I purchased two other similar monitor shelves online (one for 1/3 the price) but they were no where close to as well designed or as well made as this shelf. No seams, sturdy, clean lines. Really a beautiful and useful simple piece. I use it as a monitor shelf (24"). My Mac mini, external hard drive, and wireless keyboard all fit underneath and my mouse goes on top. The measurements are clearly stated so you can figure out if it will work for you. Is it expensive, yes, but as with everything else in life you get what you pay for. If you appreciate high-quality design and manufacturing, buy this shelf, which you'll use everyday, and then eat one less dinner out during the month. It will be more than worth it.

Comments: You would think for $100 they could cut this accurately. Tt is not evenly cut so it wobbles. It is also 1/4 inch off in height as advertised. It is only 3 pieces of wood with 4 screws.

Comments: The monitor riser arrived about a month ago during our extensive home remodel. Space for my 23-inch HP All-in-one computer (mostly a touch screen monitor with a wireless keyboard) was hard to find. Until the R&B glass topped parsons table arrived, I set it up on the dining table. The riser did not flex or tip unlevel when I placed the rather heavy monitor on it. The keyboard slipped easily beneath along with the cordless mouse.
Now I have the riser setup on the parsons glass-topped table in my sitting room/bedroom in such a way that we can watch TV on the screen, or share a slide show of my garden and the remodel work as it progresses.
The riser is the quality construction I expect from R&B products. No rough edges to the metal, no flexing, perfect gauge of stainless, shows no fingerprints or dust (and we have DUST from our remodel just now winding down), does not rattle, sits perfectly level, and does not call attention to itself. It serves its purpose in the background, elevating the monitor a few critical inches, reclaiming usable space on a compact desktop. I cannot think of any way this could be improved. The stainless steel material is the best choice for such a discreet piece of office equipment, which works in the home office, or in the kitchen around other stainless items.

Comments: Basic, well made, and the black finish matches the hardware on my other Room and Board furniture.
