It's a question we're often asked. The furnishings we offer are the result of a shared vision for quality, design and value—and in most cases,
relationships forged many years ago. Our manufacturers are as proud of their work as we are, and we believe this level of collaboration is incredibly
unique.
To make our furniture and accessories, we collaborate with master craftspeople from Vermont to China who are as passionate about well-made,
well-designed home furnishings as we are. They combine innovative technology with a tradition of quality and detail to create pieces of extraordinary
value that you'll be proud to own. More than 80 percent of our products sold are made in the United States. We work with overseas manufacturers only
when they offer something special that we can't find in the United States.
One of our greatest strengths is our ability to create value for you. We work closely with our manufacturers in the design of new products, which
reflects their specialized capabilities and our design philosophy. Because of our approach to product development, we're able to eliminate the
middleman in the process. As a result, you benefit from unique products that are offered at the best possible price and the highest possible quality.
You should feel connected to the things in your home. Visit the Education section of the Design
Center to meet the people who make our furnishings. Among those you'll meet: Vermont Furniture
Design, which crafts beautiful solid-wood furniture by hand; Bell Manufacturing, our
Minnesota-based steel manufacturerer that uses age-old blacksmith techniques to make one-of-a-kind pieces;
and Galbraith & Paul, who turn hand-block-printed textiles into beautiful pillows
and pendant lighting for us. Knowing more about how and where your furniture and accessories are made will help you feel confident about your choices.
