Customer comments about Room & Board Corbett 82x36 Dining Table:

We bought this dining table about 1.5 years ago. It looks nice, but I am disappointed by its durability, and we use it infrequently. We paired this table with Sabrina chairs which go well together. But the table gets scratches on it very easily which I feel is unaccesptable, considering that this was not an inexpensive piece of furniture.

Customer comments about Room & Board Corbett 82x36 Dining Table:

After 3 deliveries trying to get a table that wasn't damaged on top, we like it very much. The finish is a nice soft gray which I love, and the style simple and modern. Two of the tables that came had scratches or gouges on them, so I am a little worried about the durability. Time will tell. RB was very helpful in fixing the issues, so I'm sure they will stand behind their product if anything should arrise. Delivery ppl were so awesome, I was amazed that all 3 times I had polite and helpful drivers. Very impressed! My only suggestion would be to inspect the tables right BEFORE delivery, as this became a lengthy process.

We love the wood, the clean lines, fits the space and allows us to focus on the ocean view out the windows, not the table itself.

Customer comments about Room & Board Corbett 82x36 Dining Table:

The table is exactly what I expected and I think that is great. The walnut finish is beautiful. Before I subject the table to serious use, I will need to coat it with something to help preserve it as it shows wear. I think that could be a cool feature in a more casual room, but the way I have it now, I want it to stay as close to perfect as possible. I do not consider this a negative as I was well aware that the table is real untreated wood - that's why I wanted it.

What (if any) dining bench would work with the Corbett 82 table is shell stain? I am interested in a wood bench with the same stain. Thank you
Asked on 11/9/2013 by Desperate for a dining table

              • DESIGN ASSOCIATE

                A:

The space between the legs of the 82” table is only 48 inches. If you want to be able to push a bench completely under the table, the size might not be appropriate. However, the Andover bench in stocked or custom sizes is available with the shell stain.

            • Q:

How does the distance of the legs from the end of the table on the 82" table compare to the same measurement on the 104" table?

                A:

The overhang on the Corbett dining table is 15” on each end and 6” on each side, for any stocked or custom size.

            • Q:

If I put this table up against a built in banquette, it looks like there will be enough room to fit by the legs to get into the banquette, but can you let me know how many inches there is from the side of the leg to the edge of the table (on the long side)?

Along the long side of the table, there is 6" difference between the edge of the table top and the edge of the leg.

            • Q:

Is this table made of untreated wood? If so, am I supposed to have it coated to keep it in pristine condition so it doesn't stain?
Asked on 7/23/2013 by kathleen from Newport Beach, CA

              • DESIGN ASSOCIATE

                A:

Our Corbett collection is protected with a lacquer finish. We do still recommend using care to keep your top in great condition; wiping spills immediately and using coasters and place mats.
