It has been a little over a year since we got the sectional and we couldn't be happier. The material has gotten softer and surprisingly the couchions still hold their shape. We love to entertain and this sectional can sit 5/6 people comfortably. It is a lot bigger than you think... Extremely happy with our purchase.

I looked at this sofa in the store three times before purchase. I liked the look and especially the color graphite. The dimensions and shape also fit the space I have perfectly - I have the L shaped sectional. I read other reviews that the cushions don't hold their shape once sat on. It is true, but not to a terrible degree. The fabric seems to stain easily. It was scuffed badly in one small spot during shipping. They sent a company to steam it out. It worked. The stains came out by rubbing with water too. Done by the professional.
I also ordered the ottoman. It takes additional time to receive. Like a month and they charge additional shipping for it.
Overall I like the sofa a lot, but I don't love it. It's big and a little bulky looking. It is comfortable, but in a solid way. Not in a soft puffy way.
I have quite a number of items from Room & Board. I like the quality a lot. It's difficult to find that, price and style. They are also very customer friendly.

We were struggling to find a new couch that was comfortable, supportive, and would help "update" the traditional 'Ethan Allen' feel of our living room. We took a special trip down to NY to visit Room & Board - and this sofa was love at first sight for us. It's modern - but with a warm, welcoming feel. It completely transformed the feel of our living room - and enabled us to cut back on "furniture clutter". Now we have 1 sectional, one "C" table, and one coffee table, vs the myriad of our prior look. As other reviewers have mentioned, the cushions are heavy - but it works fine for us. We bought 4 additional pillows to add pop to the dark gray. For us, this is the ultimate family snuggle couch &/or entertaining couch. Thank you R&B.

I love this couch but after two year it has gotten too soft and lost its sleek look. I wanted a compromise between modern and comfort, and this is an extremely comfortable couch but no longer looks clean and modern. It also leaks feathers. I know I'll be able to keep it along time but it is a family room couch.

We looked for a couch for months before choosing the Hayes. It is perfect for our family of four. It has a clean look and real style (sometimes hard to find in a sectional). When we entertain, it looks beautiful. But it also is SO comfortable. Deep seats and lots of cushions make it perfect for watching TV. All four of us can spread out and be comfortable on the l-shape. Love it.

This is a big sofa. foam core cushions are very comfortable and they hold up. It is expensive but it is a very well-built sofa and in my view worth the investment. Two people can stretch and watch TV. It looks fantastic. Made in the USA is a plus.

Service and delivery comments:
Our delivery from [@] (e.g. the San Francisco location was) excellent. Through their perseverance and quality of service we were able to have the sofa delivered at our 4th level loft (due to the size of one of the pieces we almost did not have a complete set delivered--it was only because of [@] that we finally got all of the pieces). One suggestion I have for the sales rep is to ask and warn about the size of the pieces and that for certain urban units (e.g. lofts/condos) that a minimum height/width in hallways and corners are required.

If you reference the sectional guide (http://www.roomandboard.com/images/pdf/RNB_Hayes_sectional.pdf) you will find all of the measurements of the components. Also - these pieces are drawn to 1/4 inch scale. If you print out the guide, the last page of the guide is graph paper in 1/4 inch scale. You can map out your room and place the pieces on there to make sure it all fits.
