I shopped around a lot for a kid's bunk bed mattress. Room & Board had the least expensive one I could find at the level of quality that they provide. I also appreciate that they do not re-sell returned bedding, which means I did not have to fear getting somebody else's bedbugs. I am satisfied with this purchase so far.

I found this thin mattress very uncomfortable - I am returning it - they do another 7 inch mattress that i hope will be more comfortable. The 7 inch is key for safety on a top bunk.

After buying an organic crib mattresses, we were discouraged with unavailable information about major name mattress' ingredients to buy for our children. Fire safety laws require that mattresses be fire resistant. We were delighted to see R&B communicated clearly the use of natural ingredients (rather than chemical retardants). Further, given expected accidents and other typical wear and tear on mattresses for children, we were pleased R&B offered a value priced mattress.

We use this mattress on the lower bunk of the Loft bed. It's the perfect height for that bed, and the kids tell me it's very comfortable.
