The chair is very nice, and for the price it should be. I used to sit in a Steelcase chair which was also very nice but had a very different design. I find that I use the adjustments to lock the recline, or to lock in "task mode" quite often, which is good because this is the intention. I find that the seat pan can at times hit my legs in an uncomfortable way if I don't have my legs at a 90 degree angle with my feet flat, but ergonomically speaking this is how one is supposed to sit so it actually is a good reminder. The fabric breathes very easily and keeps me cool. And above the chair being wonderfully ergonomic, the look and feel are top notch. I am very pleased with the purchase.

I looked at and sat in many chairs before making this purchase. I am sitting a lot for my line of work and this choice has been amazing. It's more comfortable the longer I use it - is that even possible? I consider this chair a valuable investment in my long term comfort and ease on the job. And I know I won't be needing to look at a replacement for many, many years.

As my title reads, "Just See Nikki". Room & Board is simply amazing... I've been contemplating about purchasing an ergonomic chair for some time now... Considering I spend 8 hours a day (sometimes more), a proper office chair is an important ingredient considering I'm hitting 40, and I've noticed an increase in back pain... With the Aeron chair, I have NO back pain. The Aeron chair pretty much forces you to sit properly... no slouching...and has great back support (definitely et the PostureFit)! You'll notice the difference in your first 10 minutes in the chair!!

Nikki has great taste, she's super easy-going and she's the furthest thing from being a pushy salesman...

The chair arrived SOONER than promised! My neighbor came over and tried it out... and three days later, he went and purchased one from Nikki!! A GREAT investment!

When I decided to go and look at the Aeron chair, I didn't know a single detail about the chair except that it was supposed to be the most ergonomic chair readily available. I also knew that I had pain from an ongoing sciatic nerve problem and my old chair was, well, old.

I can't say the chair cures sciatica. I can say that, along with stretching exercises, and this great chair that makes me sit properly, I have conquered the sciatica.

It's a great chair!

This Posture-Fit Aeron chair is excellent, in general. I have a Humanscale (competing ergonomic chair brand) chair from a few years ago as well, and this is definitely of better quality and has more appropriate adjustments. This chair looks like it basically cannot wear out because it has no foam to break down, and most structural parts are either aluminum, steel, or a very hard urethane-like resin. It is made from very high-quality materials and will age totally gracefully and always retain a very high-class look and feel.

I compared this chair with other Herman Miller chairs at R & B, and it is definitely the best. In fact, I believe the Aeron is actually better-made than the most expensive H-M chair, the Embody.

Is the Aeron perfect? Well, probably not. It does seem a little bit "mass produced" and I notice small things about it that are not exactly museum-quality (although apparently the Aeron is in a museum somewhere!), but overall I am very happy with it. For a production chair I don't think you can do better at any price, and I literally mean that, because the Embody chair costs more and I definitely think it isn't as good as the Aeron, quality-wise.

Oh, and don't worry about the assembly, because it is super-simple. All you need to do if you select the basic ship-only option (no assembly service) is place the chair back into its metal support beams and screw in four hex-head rustproof screws (for which they include the wrench.) Then, if you get the Posture-Fit model, you just slide on the lower back support spider and thread the little adjuster cable through the hole they have already pre-expanded for you, snap its bracket to the chair back, and screw in one phillips-head rustproof screw. That's it! Your hands won't even get dirty, and all you need is a regular phillips screwdriver.

If you are looking for a great ergonomic chair, spend the money for this one and don't look back. All you will see in the rear-view mirror is pretenders to the throne.
