Customer comments about Anson 86" Sofa:
I have to say right off the bat that I've never spent this much for a piece of furniture. Low and behold, after three years of drooling over this design and not being able to find another less expensive one with the same look, I bit the bullet. I went the custom color route as I thought black leather was a much better fit for this couch and I believe I was right (check out my photo and you can decide for yourself). After resolving the squeaky legs (only needed black felt pads to do this), I noticed something "off" with the right arm. When I compared it to the left side, I realized there was almost no padding in it. So... they sent out a repair/inspector representative who immediately noticed it was a defect and ordered a replacement sofa on the spot. Honestly, it was not too noticeable, but with the amount I spent, I have to say I wanted perfection. After about 5 weeks, my new one has arrived! Poor delivery guys had to wait while I went over it with a fine tooth comb (not really a comb...). There was a slight scuff on one leg, which they made an appointment to get fixed (wonder if it will be the same guy). I gave it five stars because it truly is a very stellar sofa and the leather is ridiculously soft and high quality. It's also a comfortable sit and just looks awesome. I'm totally laid back and willing to work with them until everything is perfect, just not sure I should "have to" with the cost. All in all, I do highly recommend this sofa as long as you are willing to help R&B get things right. Perhaps quality control could be stepped up a notch; however, their customer service trumps any other furniture store!

Customer comments about Anson 78" Sofa:
I bought this sofa and matching chair in June 2012 as primary seating in my living room because I fell in love with the design and the pumpkin leather color. This was the first time I bought living room furniture from Room & Board, hoping that the high price tag and US manufacture would give me quality furniture that will last many years. After less than six months, one of the seat cushion warped to the point that it doesn't stay flat against the back, moves back and forth when sat on, and visibly protrudes further than the other seat cushion.

Customer comments about Anson 78" Sofa:
This sofa looks classy and fun, especially in the pumpkin leather. After one year I still love it. It is not too deep, not too high, and not too mushy (which describes most sofas these days). The leather is unbelievably buttery soft and awesome.

Customer comments about Anson 86" Sofa:
In living with this couch for 2 months now we noticed the leather is the very resistant to scuffs and scrapes (our daughter wears leg braces and is on it all the time) and overall seem extremely well made. We searched and searched for a couch that could easily be cleaned this was the best we found. Many cheaper leather couches sew the cushions on, leaving deep crevices to collect spills and everything else. We think the simple design is very tasteful, and the color is far more versatile than the pictures show. We might of not choose this couch without being able to take home a color sample for R&B. Pending any disaster, this was a lifetime purchase.
Service and delivery comments:
Fantastic service. Came right on time, called in route. Took the wrappings away, delivery staff encouraged us to call with any problems.

Customer comments about Anson 78" Sofa:
We purchased this sofa for the new home we built last year that is modern/contemporary. I've been furnishing it with both new and vintage mid-century modern pieces slowly since then. This sofa has the perfect balance of old and new. It fits very well with my vintage pieces and also is nicely updated for today. I love the curved sides and low back. The Bison leather is thick, soft and supple. The Dijon color is rich and deep. It also has a very good depth - not too shallow for tall people and not too deep for short people. I'm 5'2", but my husband is 6'1", so it's nice to find something we are both comfortable sitting on. It is a great sofa for an open space; in my opinion it's far too beautiful on the back to put up against a wall. I would definitely recommend this sofa for anyone who wants a quality piece of furniture with a retro look and feel. Great job R&B! But, where's the coordinating ottoman? I would really like one.

Customer comments about Anson 78" Sofa:
The sofa looks fantastic in our kitchen/family room and because it is leather is easy to take care of in that space. Great for informal company, sitting and chatting and snacking. It is not, however, the cushiest sofa ever, and while there's plenty of room for two people to recline together and watch TV, the arms are a bit low and the upholstery a bit unyielding to make this as comfortable as it was on our old, ugly, squishy sofa. Adding the right throw pillows helps. Overall, well worth it.

Customer comments about Anson 78" Sofa:
I love my new couch - was so worried about the white - but haven't spilled anything yet.
It is the perfect scale for our older sized home with smaller sized room - yet still comfortable enough for two to lie down and snuggle while watching tv.
Service and delivery comments:
Easy sale. Easy delivery. Convenient take away of old supersized sofa - and have it donated !

Customer comments about Anson 78" Sofa:
As in many older SF apartments, the individual rooms in my apartment aren't large and would be overwhelmed by larger sofas or sectionals designed for suburban homes. This piece is probably the largest couch that will fit in smaller spaces while remaining comfortable both for sitting and for lying down (sideways, if you're under six feet tall).
The leather has a nice dense feel. It's not too delicate, but an excited cat will definitely leave marks. People with pets may want to think twice if care about keeping their furniture absolutely pristine.
Quirks/features that I don't mind, but which you should think about prior to purchase:
1. The seating is not as deep as some other sofas, so it's best paired with an ottoman or coffee table to serve as a footrest.
2. The back of the sofa is low, which may not be to everyone's liking, although I like it fine.
3. The armrests are softer than they look, but the angles are still a bit harsh if you're lying sideways. It's best to add a couple of dense throw pillows to soften up the angles a bit.
Overall, a great couch, but you should give it a good workout in the store before buying to see if it's right for you.
