Took me months to settle on a sofa - I have cats, one of which scratched my old EQ3 leather sofa and my leather ottoman, boo! My requirements: beautiful classic lines, a firm seat (due to my partner's persnickety back), a fabric that holds up well, and all at a somewhat reasonable price. I absolutely LOVE my Anson sofa. Love the color too, it goes so well with my milk chocolate brown vintage Falcon chair.

When the sofa was delivered and unwrapped in my living room, it had a dirty spot on the back cushion, barely a shadow but definitely a dirty spot. The guys who delivered it attempted to clean it, but it remained. They sent someone out a couple of days later, and he finished the cleaning job, now I can't tell that spot was ever there. Great customer service!

Also want to mention that I really appreciate the flat-rate, very reasonable delivery fee, compared to another unnamed MCM store that 'taxes' delivery as a percentage of the sales price. Really??

Would definitely shop R&B again!

We love the look and feel of this couch. Its lines and curves are beautiful and the couch is very comfortable. It fits us well. We've built an eclectic collection of Arts and Crafts and vintage MCM furniture and this couch is a perfect fit.

The only drawback is the strong "new couch" smell. We've had the couch for a month now and it's still off-gassing. I'm sure this will fade in time but for now it's still an issue.

First of all, I do not like spending money, but you get what you pay for so I came to this website on a recommendation. I bought the 86" Anson sofa in teal just to do something different. Wow!It has brightened my smallish living room right up. It is lighter than the picture, but still very pretty. I love the lines and the sturdy fabric. The back is low, but it isn't bothersome. I'm 5'7", average weight and I can stretch out with room to spare. If you like mid-century modern with a little flair then this is the sofa for you.

Service and delivery comments:

Room and Board service/delivery are one of the best in the business. I promptly received a call after I placed the order, she let me know when they were coming to my area. The followup call happened as planned, then the delivery men called the day before stating they could come a day early. Yipee! It took then all of 15 minutes to get the sofa of of the truck, up the stairs, out of the packaging and into my living room. They left no packing materials behind. Very professional and quick!

We bought two Anson sofas three years ago. We absolutely love them. They are sturdy, comfortable, and beautiful. They still look great after 3 years in a busy house with kids and pets. We live in a 100 year old traditional house but prefer clean, modern furniture and these work perfectly.

The design of the couch is wonderful. I shopped every furniture store in Chicago and kept coming back to this sofa. While there are other mid-century modern designs, none have the curve bottom. The lines on this couch are beautiful. I like the low arms which do not block views of the lake. It is very comfortable. Highly recommend.

I purchased 3 Anson sofas about 8 months ago but did not want to review them until I had lived with them for several months. Well, I can tell you that they have lived up to all the raves that they get. I had my eye on them for a long time but didn't quite have the funds so I waited until I did as they were the only sofa that I was really excited about.

I am writing this so that other people as careful as I am about purchases can feel confident about this sofa; it has looks, comfort, and is solidly made. I could not be happier!

Great sofa with small footprint for small spaces. Lots of style. Comfortable even though it's firm. Add a back cushion and you're set.

When we sat on the sofa in the showroom it seemed to fit our bodies fine. The one they delivered seems much deeper and we have to put a pillow behind us for sit comfortably on it unless we put our feet on the coffee table.
