Thi lamp is awesome. I had been looking at it for years and finally pulled the trigger-- so glad that I did. The arc of the lamp is so dramatic and the marble base gives it such a timeless look.
If you can afford it, I suggest you pick one up. The knock- off's shout "fake" from a mile away

The lamp is beautiful, a classic modret recieved as a birthday gift. I actually use a pair: an original, and a variation I built myself that makes a great contrast. Copy design: plastic hard hat covered in clear heat-resistant spray, electrical in low watt CFL bulb, length of thin walled, small diameter pvc, and a block of q-krete. Really enhances the original, and brings in a little humor and repurposing commentary.

I have ten foot ceilings and the living room always felt a little "low". The Arco lamp brings a dimension of height that was missing before. In addition it really ads a great soft light and when all other lights are off, it creates a beautiful mood.
This lamp should be considered a semi-permanent fixture since the base is 200+ lbs. You also should consider placing a mat or protective sheet under the base since sliding the marble base on the floor will put in scratches.
Overall it is a beautiful accent to the room and while the price is steep, it is worth it.
