My husband and I purchased this table for our dining area in our great room. Since we don't have a formal dining space, we wanted a table that was nicer than the average kitchenette, but wasn't too formal and stuffy. This table exactly fit our requirements. We chose the version of the Bond table with the natural steel base and the glass top. The steel base gives visual weight to the table that the stainless steel version didn't in my opinion. It coordinates well with black decor elements in our great room space. Since our dining area is small and there are wood floors and wood built-ins, we chose a glass top. Otherwise, there would be too much wood. We were very pleased with the glass top as it doesn't interrupt the line of the eye. It's a substantial table, but the glass makes it less overwhelming. The circular shape is excellent for people flow around the space. The glass top allows the beautiful sculpture-like quality of the table to be seen. I read other reviews referring to the difficulty in keeping this table clean. However, I think that with the right products, cleaning can be a snap. I use a product called Perfect Glass; it's in a black bottle and can be found at [@]. I'm able to clean the glass easily with no streaking. Using table cloths and placemats also help with the cleanliness issue. Now to the issue of seating... I've seen other reviews written about how it is difficult to make a good arrangement for a family or dinner party of four. Yes, it's true that the cleanest seating arrangement is in multiples of three. When I was visiting a R&B store before I bought the table, a design associate and I were able to find a decent (but not perfect) arrangement for four. We purchased six Afton chairs, and the combination of the walnut and the steel is exquisite. When six people are seated at the table, there is plenty of room and it's a perfect arrangement for conversation. We can't be more pleased with our table, which is a beautiful, American-made piece of art!

We use this table as a dining table and love it. The only issue we really have with the table, and this is on us as we just didn't think about prior to purchasing, is that with a glass top you have to clean after every use and at 60" around that can take some time. Having to clean the bottom side can be a hassel but short of tinting the glass so that fingerprints would be less visable it is perfect!
