the sectional is wonderful - 98" sofa had to be knocked-down and reassembled in my apartment. have r&b fit specialist come first. regardless of reassembly issue, it's perfect - gorgeous and super comfortable! wonderful for entertaining. r&b service great, too!

I will try to answer this one more time. I specified several items from Room and Board for a client's vacation home in Hawaii. They will not see the furnishings until the end of 2011, I will not see it in the foreseeable future,
so many of the questions cannot be answered about any of the items. Only one lampshade arrived damaged and it has been replaced. The caretaker said
that all of the rest looks to be in excellent condition. I have specified thousands of dollars of merchandise from R&B in SF an NYC and have never had a problem.

The piece completed my living rooms style. It brought all the colors together and certainly is the token item in the room. It is a couch that will live on way past my rental space and into my first home. My only gripes are that the bottom cushion leaves imprints so I find myself rotating where I sit each time to avoid damaging the look of the couch. Sahari is a great color but beware it shows every stain even those from dark jeans.

There has probably not been a single person in my apartment in the last two years, including the washer/dryer repairman, who has not complemented this sofa. When I lived in London (yes, I brought it with me), several people tried to buy it off me.
But here are a few suggestions for people thinking about buying one:
1) A 98" sofa is huge, even though it looks like it's a reasonable size. Measure.
2) It's both deep and moderately high, so if you're a smaller person and like sitting back with two feet on the floor, this may not be the sofa for you.
3) If you buy the cream (which I did), then a periodic professional clean will be necessary.
But to me, it's perfect.
