This lamp EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS, which is a big deal because I am a picky picky demanding consumer. It is formidable, it is beautiful, the clear cord and control are even pleasing to look at and use. And best of all, it can be dimmed to a very low, warm glow then cranked up to a very bright (but not irritating) diffuse light.
Also I had no idea that would cast a pretty grid-like shadow on the ceiling but it does and I now want the Floor lamp too. Just because I usually hate lamps after I actually try to use them. This was worth every cent.

I also own the 2 larger cortina lights. I love them all. I sometimes put them all together, sometimes separate them and use them individually. They can be put in so many places, it is difficult to decide
where to put them.
